Honored by Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, one of the holiest mosques in Islam, Medina is the 2nd most important Islamic pilgrimage site after Mecca. Surrounded by hills that have seen hundreds of people seek refuge in its oasis, this city has developed a range of modern facilities to host the pilgrims from all over the world.
Formerly named Yathrib, Medina is affectionately known as both the "Prophet’s City" and the "Radiant City". The Prophet Muhammad came to the city in the 7th century, seeking refuge from his opponents. According to Muslim theology, the last chapters of the Quran were revealed to him here.
The site where the Prophet lived is now occupied by the Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi or "Prophet’s Mosque". Although the mosque has changed and expanded over the years, the green dome is part of the original sanctuary.
Places like the Masjid Quba mosque, the Masjid Al-Qiblatain mosque and the Al-Baqi Cemetery also represent important holy sites in Medina.
Whether you arrive directly at Medina’s Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport or come from Mecca or Riyadh, check out the accommodation deals on Booking.com before traveling.

Al Madinah is a significant religious destination for Muslims, boasting numerous religious sites such as mosques and historical landmarks. However, navigating the city can be challenging due to ongoing infrastructure work, particularly when attempting to reach places like the Masjid by car. Many religious areas suffer from inadequate parking or are completely closed off.

I only stayed for 1 night on 7/4/24 in Hotel Diyar Al Sater as I didn't have a good sleep as the bed was full of bugs. Even aircon was not working well & make lot of noice.
I paid only for 1 night.
Very clean hotel and everywhere it smells so good!!!!
Check in took only 2 mins. the gentlemans were so lovely and gave us more keys when we lost many times. also they offered us late checkout without any fees to pray Friday prayers.
The best thing was when we checked in our shower was broken and called front office and they sent rightaway Technian to repair. and since we came to saudia we’ve been to so many 5 stat hotel but this is the one where you can quality service!!!! Great job to Front office staff!
Once I arrived, the staff checked my "paid" reservation and took me to a manager. The manager told me that my stay was " promoted" to a different hotel that is closer to almasjid annabawi / alharam. They gave .e a receipt that transfers me to Al Aqreq Al Madina hotel. I went there ( 3 minutes walk towards Haram), and the check-in, stay, and buffet were great. While I didn't stay at Emaar Elite, the way they treated me was professional, and I am happy I stayed in Al Aqeeq hotel.
The price of 125€ per night for a room in pension Saudi Arabia without any meal or any Star is extremely expensive. I was trusted in booking website, but unfortunately I am no longer trust in the price rate the you but. I have been in the city and I know the price of that kind of pension or hostel with out any service no more than 10-15 not 125€ . Bookings need to revise it police regarding the hotels in Saudi Arabia...
