The hotel has private parking which is perfect for travellers like us, the room was very nice, big and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the city center, cathedral and restaurants. Staff was friendly and upgraded our room without even asking, but because they had it available. Thanks. Can't fault it.

Good location, good sleep, good price, professional staff...
Even though tranquil Le Mans has a well-preserved medieval centre and virtually intact Gallo-Roman walls, it is most famous for its iconic 24-hour race. Motorsports lovers the world over descend for a day (and night) of non-stop racing on the Circuit de la Sarthe.
This legendary track encompasses parts of the permanent Bugatti Circuit, but also spills out onto normal roads which get shut for the occasion. One local restaurant is even placed right by a straight which cars hurtle down at top speed before braking for the bend near the Golf des 4 Heures club in Mulsanne.
Also within the circuit are the Antarès events venue and La Sarthe Automobile Museum, open even when there is no racing. The name of the latter refers to the Sarthe River running through the city centre. Colourful, half-timbered buildings line its historic banks, and steps climb gentle hills in the old town.
More charming houses fill the streets surrounding impressive St Julian's Cathedral, started in the 11th century. The city history is detailed in the nearby Museum of Queen Bérengère, and the town hall is in part of the former Palace of the Counts of Maine.
Booking.com’s Le Mans accommodation includes hotels with pools, cheap guest houses, and apartments near the train station.
I was wary of Le Mans as I am not interested in formula one.
I was wary of Le Mans as I am not interested in formula one. I need not have been as there is no sign or sound of it in the attractive town. We enjoyed exploring the attractive car free ancient thoroughfares. Another beautiful French town with great shopping, restaurants and culture.

A large city with useful selection of shops.
A large city with useful selection of shops. The highlight was our visit to the historic, Plantagenet quarter and the two town centre museums (free entrance.) Good selection of restaurants for all budgets. For a bit of pre-Christmas cheer it was ideal. A walkable town centre with a good tram service which goes as far as the 24 hour race Track.

Fantastic location in the old town.
Fantastic location in the old town. Architecture is simply stunning and has to be seen to be believed. No where else quite like it. Lovely restaurants and bars a stones throw. People are lovely and friendly. Great weather. The annual Summer evening light projections / show are superb. Lots to also explore and enjoy in main centre. A drink in the square people watching is a good way to spend an hour or two. Our 2nd time back in ten years to stay with Brigitte. We will be returning!

The room for people with disabilities was accessed from outside at the opposite end of the building from the disabled parking and the restaurant. A 200 metre walk in the cold, dark and rain was hardly "accessible".

Le Mans offers much more than the 24h car race, the old town on the hill is very beautiful. Of course, another impressive cathedral - don't miss it. And also don't miss to have Crepes and Galettes ;-)
The hotel was a great location for a stop off on our journey through France.
The hotel was well situated close to the motorway but there was a tram stop right outside which means you can take a short ride into the city.
The hotel was quiet with a lovely park area at the back with sports facilities.
The hotel itself has a lovely outdoor area with bar, play area and small pool.
The breakfast was good value- €19 and children were free.
Loved the location next to "Cite Plantagenet," an extraordinary Medieval "old town" filled with cobblestone streets and timbered buildings. We are architects and could not have asked for a nicer experience of staying in this extraordinary location. Parking was easy and the Host helped to carry our bags upstairs. Loved the big windows with great views! We had a delicious meal at "Le Fou du Roy" restaurant next door.
It was 11 years ago I last reviewed this fabulous B&B and if anything, it's better, large room, comfortable big bed and looking out to the Cathedral, what moor do you need ,oh yes breakfast , that was good as well 😀. I don't think it will be 13years before we return
Thank you
PS it's in the old town where you walk medieval streets built on Roman streets 👌
We stayed in Le Mans for the 24 hour car race. The location is very good, it is about a 20-minute walk to the cathedral and the busy area with all the restaurants. Very nice apartment. The host was wonderful and very helpful. We had a small issue with the shower, and he came right over to fix it! It is about a 20-minute ride to the Le Mans track.
This hotel is in a fantastic location right in the centre of the old town, we didn’t have long in Le Mans so it was lovely to see the old parts that we did. Nice quirky decor done well on a bit of a budget, we really enjoyed our 1 night stay. loads of good restaurants and shops very nearby within walking distance.
We loved this property- the hotel was in an excellent location to tour Le Mans, and everything was walkable-
The best part was the owners- just lovely welcoming people. Our room was huge and with the warm weather they provided 3 dyson silent air fan and they kept us cool in a hot spell.
The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the city. It is beautifully decorated throughout and well equipped. Our room was spacious, clean, with fantastic facilities. The breakfast was good- plenty of choice. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and would love to return.
The owners were delightful. Breakfast was traditionally French & the attention to detail was lovely. Homemade jams & cake for breakfast. Location wise it was walkable to the old town & an ideal overnight stop for our journey from UK to SW France.
Great location with short and easy drive to Le Mans centre whole not being far from main roads.
Big and peaceful garden to relax in
Good location for overnight stopover even if you do not visit Le Mans itself
Basic room, pretty spacious for a budget hotel. The check-in is available 24 hours which was very helpful, as we arrived late in the evening. Wi-Fi worked well. It's good for a short stay while on the road.
Excellent location right on the edge of the old town of Le Mans. Wonderful host who met us to help with parking near the property, and gave us a map of the old town showing us where to eat/drink etc.
Gorgeous hotel that we use on the way too or from Calais when holidaying in France. We love sitting in the garden with a beer after a long drive whilst the kids play badminton.
very comfy bed and great location for the old town, and easy to get to le mans race track.
private underground parking - but not high enough for a roof box so beware.
Only stopped one night on our way to portugal and tea and coffee facilities in room which a lot of hotels in france do not offer, and good value for money.
