Wonderful holiday town. Easy to get around.
Wonderful holiday town. Easy to get around. Lots to do and see in and around Plettenberg Bay. Be careful whe choosing accommodation. Booking.com asked our arrival time at our accommodation booked which we said will be between 16h00 and 17h00. We had the option to pay on arrival. For security we gave our credit card number on booking.com. However...our host put the payment through at 14h00 when we were stil in Knysna. Our host added an additional fee to our booking. Our host had his own reasons for charging the additional fee. We arrived in time. Will not recommend The Green Palm Cottage

Our family's time in Plettenberg Bay was truly unforgettable. The town's central location made exploring the area a breeze, with convenient access to local amenities like grocery stores and the stunning nearby beaches. We were thrilled to discover attractions such as the Knysna Elephant Park and Adventure Land, just a short drive away, adding excitement to our vacation. However, one thing to note is that there are limited halaal food options in the area, which posed a challenge for us. Nonetheless, after our adventures, returning to our cozy retreat provided the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge. The warm hospitality of the locals further enhanced our experience, leaving us with cherished memories of our time in Plettenberg Bay. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation on South Africa's beautiful coastline.

The highlight of our visit was our walk on the Robberg Peninsular - stunning scenery, seals and other wildlife (lizards etc). Make sure if you do the walk that you take plenty of water with you, wear proper walking shoes (flip flops just won't cut it) and be aware that in some places there are climbs that are quite challenging.

nice sized room - and lovely windows and french door leading out onto balcony - I was in room 9. hotel is on the beach although it is about a 3 minute walk to the actual ocean. Not much of an actual seaview (although you can certainly see the sea) from the rooms because of the sand dunes close to the hotel. Lovely lagoon view though from the rooms facing Lookout Beach. Serving staff in the restaurant was very nice. The location is super convenient and close to everything in Plett.
This was a beautiful guest house which was more like a hotel. We had a fabulous view of the beach & sea from three windows. Staff friendly, breakfast excellent. Outside areas to sit & relax plus two lounges. Walking distance to restaurants & not too far to walk into town. Beach on doorstep. Private parking. Did have a restaurant but we didn’t try it. Rooms very comfortable & everything provided that you would need.
The setting and the views, the decor was very unique. The room was fantastic , very comfortable, with great views from the bedroom and the bathroom. The hotel hosted a pizza and live music party on Friday night, which was great and is clearly the place to be on Friday night in Plettenberg. The staff were very friendly and on hand at breakfast to give recommendations for things to do in the area.
La Vista indeed - absolutely incredible views over Plettenberg Bay! Big rooms with a huge bathroom that included a great shower with two heads, a rarity in South Africa for us. Great staff too - we were warmly greeted by a gentleman, I believe his names was Amos, who was happy to help with everything from luggage to drinks to a fantastic dinner spot recommendation. Great spot.
We really enjoyed this exceptional place. The staff were incredibly friendly and the breakfasts were outstanding. We also liked the easy access to the town as well as Central Beach. I was worried about parking, but car was safe and sound during our three night stay and we always found a spot in front of the hotel. Definitely recommend this place.
Good to know - Getting to this hotel is via shuttle\boat that they have (no additional payment unless it's late at night).
A very nice place, nice room and beautiful view with Zebras in front of your window.
The team was very nice and helpful, kind people.
Comfortable bed and organized and stylish rooms.
Property has onsite checkin, excellent security and gated parking. There are views to the water from the main lounge/breakfast area, where they have coffee making facilities available 24hrs.
The rooms are clean and functional hotel rooms, with large showers. Beds were okay.
It included a good breakfast.
Attention to detail on so many small things. Great service from staff in all roles within the hotel. Small interesting touches, such as Fresh milk in your fridge, a sound speaker by your bed, house keeper asking us if we prefer still or sparkling in our bar fridge… really special stay. Great food too.
The restaurant was the best part of our stay, we ate there all three nights of our stay - we wish they had a branch in Cape Town :) Shower was nice and big and room had a good view of the beach. The hotel is close to the beach, restaurants and shops which made things very convenient.
Outstanding accommodation just outside Plettenberg Bay. Nature and peace is just what the doctor ordered. This establishment is in my top 3 that I have ever stayed in on Z A and the world. That's exactly it, world class self catering establishment. Wow, wow
The bedrooms were unacceptably small,
We were locked out of hotel at 10.45 pm and it took 5 calls to the emergency number to get the code to gain access.
Unacceptable
Very central and close to amenities. Walking distance to the ocean. Felt like we were the only people at the AirBnB and enjoyed the swimming pool and pool table.
