We decided to do a touristy weekend, came over form Portland. We found the perfect breakfast spot, very inexpensive and SO good! The Riverwalk Restaurant, the biscuits and gravy are to die for. Our favorite seafood place is South Bay Wild Fish House. We love walking the streets and going into all the groovy little shops. Took the Underground Tour this time which was so fun! Visited the Astoria Column which was so interesting and the scenery from the ground and the top of the column was breathtaking. The climb up the column had me out of breath so caution if you have medical issues or are just plain out of shape like me. My grandson and I went bowling at Lower Columbia Bowl when a beachside fire was out of the question for grandpa lol . Had a blast! We love Astoria!!

Love the antique and unique shops on Commercial in downtown Astoria. Toured the Flavel House, which I definitely recommend. Found a funky sportsbar called the MerryTime which serves giant juicy burgers. Love the sound of the seals and the maritime feel of Astoria.

Astoria is a busy place, lots to do.
Astoria is a busy place, lots to do. We went down to spend time with young grandchildren and took a good friend and his son. Booking.com advertises This motel at $60 a night and it was $175 a night so we could not stay as long as we would have liked. I think misrepresentation like this is a crime and I felt cheated.. The motel blamed the price change on Booking.com.

The hotel location was super.
The hotel location was super. We were within walking distance of a few restaurants. We ate at the Bridgewater Bay Bistro only a couple of minutes walk. The fresh caught halibut was wonderfully tasty. We also ate at a local Mexican restaurant, El Tiapatio, (10-minute walk) from hotel. The restaurant was colorful and food and drinks were great. Many locals were also dining there. The riverwalk is directly in front of the hotel. There is some construction on it, so it was not as accessible as it might have been. The Trolley is running only from 1-4 pm. Museums are a 30-35 minute walk from the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the Heritage Museum with history of Astoria.

Location is great! I had a really wonderful time in Astoria - so much history and this hotel was part of the experience. Love the bathrobes, the skylight on the third floor, room was bigger than expected and it's nice to have a sink in the room. I always bring flip flops when sharing bath and I didn't have to wait even once to use the toilet or shower. Showers were spacious and clean. Staff let me cut a piece of aloe vera to help with the sunburn I got from visiting Seaside and Cannon Beach, which was sweet.
Summer during Buoy 10 salmon fishing season in Astoria is very high demand. So the room prices were extremely high... like 2 to 3 times off season rates. The rooms are simple basic retro 50's minimalist motel furniture and decor. Beds were comfortable, everything was mostly clean. There is a refrigerator, TV and good wifi signal.
It is located next to Pig N Pancake. Keyless room code worked well.
Spacious room with a balcony overlooking the marina, and view of the bridge. Room was nice, bed was comfortable and everything seemed clean. It seems to be an older hotel with some updates needed, but nothing that ruined my stay. I’ve stayed there before and certainly would again. Great price as well compared to other hotels in the area. Staff were awesome as well, both day and evening shifts.
The room was very clean. Nothing fancy, but it came with free wifi, a small fridge and microwave. It is within walking distance to 2 fast food places, the Astoria bridge, the riverwalk, and the shops on Commercial street. The staff was friendly. If you are looking for an economical and convenient place to stay, then I recommend this place.
Budget friendly accommodation in a good location. The views from the balcony definitely made up for the dated rooms.
Hotel does look a little sketchy from the front but the rooms were nice for the price and on the riverwalk which is about a 30 min walk to downtown. Good for an overnight stay and the included breakfast was a nice bonus.
Location was great--next to Pier 39 (great coffee shop and interesting museum and kayak rentals). Water view excellent and having a balcony was a nice feature. The walking path leading to down was right out in front of the hotel so very convenient. Breakfast was great--good variety, and staff kept the area well stocked and clean.
The building and the room have an incredible charm! They did a very good job in keeping the style of the time through the decor as well. They added useful features like a minibar with a coffee machine and minifridge. I would definitely stay there again if we pass through Astoria.
Parking is little tricky but the it is the worth the location; right on the water; and the hotel is so lovely - unique and gorgeous, comfortable rooms. They have a french press with coffee in the rooms! We would definitely visit again! Walking distance to Buoy restaurant/taproom.
Interesting Rooms. I didn't enjoy the fact we couldn't close one of the blinds the entire way which was kind of a bummer. However, the staff was extremely nice and I would recommend the hotel to anyone who is in need of a place to stay for work.
It was good to have hot eggs and sausage along with yogurt. We try not to eat sweet rolls for breakfast. The hotel is in walking distance to the breweries in Astoria - Fort George and Astoria Brewing.
This location is a comfortable motel. The price is good for the accommodations. It's better than most in the area.
The rooms were renovated a while back. This is our go to place in Astoria.
Cute and charming little hotel perfectly located, shops and restaurants nearby, clean room with a comfortable bed, shared bathroom that was always available.
