It had all my favorite stores next, lidl, aldi, tjmaxx etc.
I love that the university is just by the town center and it gave me that feeling of being back in school

I’d never recommend this hotel to anyone.
I’d never recommend this hotel to anyone. Cold water in the taps meant no shower for for all the family who were going for a funeral…..
Need a full refund!!!! Can’t believe my night in this hotel. Ripped wallpaper lousy decor!!!

I am from Bolton, but live overseas. Love the town hall area, but the shops I used to know are not there anymore. Sad to say many major shops gone.
Queen's Park is a lovely place to feed the birds and the squirrels at the pond area. Bought wild bird food from Poundland.
Barrow Bridge and Moss Bank Park also very pleasant to walk through on a sunny day.
The museum is a pleasant and interesting place with a souvenir shop too. Why they had to move the library out of the same building is a mystery to me. Buses usually on time and available during the week and Saturdays.
Good self service laundrettes available which proved helpful when running out of clothes.

It was quite no noise some of the staff need training again with manners to guest, also the girls/lads who clean rooms should be able to acknowledge guest to see if they need anything instead of turning away from them. Other than that nice stay would be nice to speak to staff while staying their communication goes a long way. When been to other hotel spoke to staff had laughs with them.

I visited three venues Cheetham Arms, The Spead Eagle and The Last Drop. Also brunch at Bakers, Edgerton. All had excellent customer service and food in welcoming decorated atmosphere.
Visited Middle Brook shopping centre. An impressive range of retailers.
Travelled as passenger in relatives car. Traffic fairly busy but no hold ups. Would be confident enough to drive solo.
Its in an excellant location, close to the West Pennine Moors. Atmosphere has a lovely friendly local village feel. Plenty of parking and food fantastic. Victoria, pub manager was welcoming and even waited up late for us to arrive last year when we travelled up from London in the evening. We explained we had been caught in traffic and she was lovely about it. Nik even handed out yellow tulips to ladies on Mothers Day. This was the purpose of our visit. To spend Mothers day with my son who lives in Bolton.
Very nice hotel, decent food options, staff/manager very friendly and helpful, very chilled atmosphere and good location. Room was nice and quite big. Breakfast was really tasty. A really clean hotel and was really impressed with the upkeep. Natural features from the 1800s when built but also a modern hotel with sports screens music and a variety of beers, wines, spirits & ciders. We would definitely stay again. Also there was definitely a ghost in our room always a bonus!!
First of all the gentlemen who owns the property is fantastic, I had my dog with me and had travelled to Bolton from London for my wife's course and instead of waiting hour's to book in was very accommodating and also allowed a late cheak out. The property itself was comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. This isn't a 5 star house but it is perfect for people who are looking for a safe and honest property. It's a bargain for the money
The room was spotless. Unfortunately, I was unable to book breakfast - that was advertised on the site - and they said it was because of covid. I'm afraid that isn't correct, as we know other hotels serve breakfast. Looking at the hotel outside, my stomach sunk - it could REALLY do with a paint/spruce up. The bed wasn't great, but I slept as I was so tired. A spruce up of the outside and some new mattresses, and this hotel would lift it's grading.
Prime location for Manchester, Bolton and Blackpool with train station close to stadium, easy access to retail park with all you need on site or within 2 min walking distance, lovely friendly staff good value for money clean and excellent facilities within the hotel, and great atmosphere on match day, loved it and will be booking again when next over to see family.
Although it was the cheapest hotel available. It was probably overpriced. This dump hasn’t seen a lick of paint in 20 years. Would benefit from a period as an Asylum accommodation to pay for a total refurb.
Shop and Subwsy right next door number 7 to Bolton just across the road wonderful scenic views marvellous fresh air. Visiting GT Manchester? Stay here ?
