Narita feels like a transitory space - so many tourists seem...
Narita feels like a transitory space - so many tourists seem to stay there for a night (like I did) so they can catch a flight or to recuperate before heading to Tokyo, but the city itself is gorgeous! We went to an izakaya that served local produce and chicken, a charming shopping street, and one of the most gorgeous (and uncrowded) temple complexes I have been to in both Tokyo and Kyoto. The attached park was a lovely place to wander, and there are cats everywhere too! I wish I'd booked an extra night or two to explore some more since it seems like a lovely city that deserves it's own stay.

I only stayed 10hrs (overnight) but had the impression that I should return one day and explore the area as it is spacious and the hotel I stayed at was awesome! It looked quite rural in parts and original housing so was quite a treat to bus through on way to the airport. I would love to list what they offer but at this stage I don't know. One day I will ! It seems to offer huge potential for overseas travellers or city to country travellers. I think I've missed out on a lot this time.

We needed a place to stay near the airport as we had an...
We needed a place to stay near the airport as we had an early flight so chose two nights here. We actually got t the airport from Tokyo then used the hotel shuttle bus to go to the hotel which saved us the hassle of figuring out trains/buses. We used the shuttle the following day to go to the mall for last minute shopping. Then again the next day early to get us to the airport. The hotel staff were very welcoming and room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. Would like to have been there longer to explore local sights.HelenAustralia

The rooms and hotel itself are quite dated, like a throw back to decades ago. There's signs of wear and tear and the amenities are what you might expect because of that, with some upgrades. However despite the age of the room and hotel, they are kept clean which is all I wanted. For an overnight stay it's good for what it is. There's a regular airport shuttle to take you to the terminals nearby too.

We could walk to the airport (once knowing the best walking path) in about 15minutes. The best method of traveling between the hotel and the airport was via the free shuttle bus which ran frequently. Arrived early and was able to store our luggage until check-in. There's also a 24hr Lawson in the lobby which is really convenient.
