It was in a beautiful green location, just outside the city, with bicycles to rent -took about 20 mins into the centre. Hotel had a great open car park so it was easy to load and unload. We took our small dog and they left him his own ball as a welcome treat😁. Easy to stay, easy to park and staff were really friendly and helpful.

Location and friendly employees. Breakfast was really good. The timing is perfect and also the choices of the menu. The only recommendation of change I will suggest is to make more channels for the guests to choose. Thank you

Its one of the best cities in The Netherlands, but not manay people know it. Kind of small Amsterdam. Old buildings, city center surrounded by a canal and brdiges. Great shopping, eating drinking. Pub, bars Clubs stay open to the morning light (longest in the Netherlands). lots of good student activity. Great museums as well.

Groningen is beautiful, we were lucky to have visited when the fairground was in town which kept the teenager children entertained.
We also visited a few climbing centres while here.
Staff at the cafes, pubs and restaurants were all very friendly and helpful.
I would definitely visit again.

Groningen can seriously surprise you with it's beauty if you visit in right weather which will enable you to explore all it has to offer. We found our timing just right during our visit of mid/end May. It has a very joyous vibe, well planned infrastructure, multicultural cuisine, easy local conveyance, great connectivity with Amsterdam. Students from various walks of the world makes it even more vibrant and energietic.
The unique 'forum' building, University of Groningen and it's widely spread out yet classic campuses, beatiful streets, Grote market, clock tower and central garden will be remembered for a long time.

Groningen is a beautiful city , I would prefer it to Amsterdam . It is a nice size, there's loads to see and do. The Groninger Museum always has terrific exhibitions and the building itself is amazing. The Ship Museum is excellent also . There is a lovely ambience with many cosy cafes and bars and great eateries such as the Drei Gezusters. We had great takeaway food at the Vis Markt , the Kibbeling is very tasty and the portions everywhere are generous.
As it is a University city , there is a lively student atmosphere,
We walked everywhere as everything is accessible. It is a wonderful spot for a city break.
Lovely hotel. The owner really is into details. and she personally guided us to the room. This is so so nice. The hotel warns beforehand in their description and via a personal message that the hotel is next to a crowed yard and that this causes sound. We love the white-noice of the city and did love it, and I can imagine this is not for everybody. We did take breakfast in the city and not hotel. The rooftop bar was amazing.
Not the biggest room and certainly not small. Bed and shower where new, large and very nice. compliments!
The location is very close to the town square where all the Shops, bata and restaurants. Its 10 mins by car to the train station. There is a bus stop 2 mins walk to the hotel. The staff are very friendly and approachable. They have a gym, washing machine can be used for free using the app. Iron and ironing board are also available. The Restaurant serves a good selection of lunch and dinner. Its very good for families and students
The location is superb. Having stayed in Groningen many times, this was by far the most conveniently located and best hotel. Staff are fabulous, friendly and helpful. Great breakfast choice, dinner menu and bar for drinks or coffee. For such a busy hotel in the heart of the city I was amazed at how quiet/sound proofed it is in every bedroom. (There was a carnival in Grote Market right outside the door and we couldn’t hear it!).
The location of the hotel is great. Everything within the city centre is within walking distance and the hotel is very accessible by public transport. The room was nice and pretty spacious for a city hotel; the bathroom was very modern. Breakfast was great! Airco was very much needed because it was 30+C outside, but it worked wonders! This is not always the case in the Netherlands.
Perfect location in the heart of the city centre. If you're looking for a hotel which combines decent amenities and services with alternative hotel style, then give it a try; I think it's worth it! Both owners and staff were very kind, friendly and with a really nice energy! Liked the music vibes of this place!
We had a pleasant stay at NH hotel in Groningen. The room was clean, bright and quiet for the whole stay. Certainly recommended for people that need to visit UMCG, and it is convenient also for visiting the city centre (just 5-10 minutes of walk distance). The staff was available to different requests.
The hotel is located in a walking distance from the city centre. It is a very cosy, clean, and newly renovated apartment. The kitchen is well equipped, so you can easily prepare breakfast, the shop is nearby. The bed is really comfortable. The person who designed the interior is really skilled!
Comfortable and clean room with a beautiful view to the lake area behind the hotel. Nice clean common areas in the hotel. Enough outdoor parking place cca. 50 meters from the hotel. To the city centre, we went either by car or by bus from a bus stop 5-10 min away from the hotel.
Everything you need is provided: comfortable bedroom, lounge, bathroom, kitchen with kettle and coffee machine. Fresh bread is delivered to the foot of the stairs every morning. The place was very clean and easy to reach from the city centre. Our host was friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was standard fare, Continental choices, cooked options etc and fine for a buffet style, but on the pricy side. Hotels in Groningen are never 'cheap' so relatively good value for the city, well/conveniently located for the centre but parking expensive.
The room was in a great location, right near the Folkingestraat and in a central area of Groningen. Nothing that I wanted to see was more than about a 20 minute walk. The room itself was clean, as was the shared toilet.
Great room, in beautiful location in centre of Groningen. Well organised, very friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast and service! Already the third time i stay in your hotel and will continue to do so!
We got a great room with lots of space and a modern bathroom. Also the location is absolute top, there is nothing better located to enjoy groningen city centre for this rate than the doelen.
