perfect location if you have a car or if you want to reach the main train station to go to Muenich (20 minutes on foot or less by bus). Spotlessly clean. Helpful and nice personnel. Great breakfast and lunch.

Dachau is too small to stay in for the night or nights ...
Tour of the prisoner camp was usefull ... Tour guides are distorting the facts making Germany alot worse .. it was a prisoner camp .... during wars ... facts no more or less.
Touring children or students is not a good idea ... it is a horrible idea to be introduced to violance at that age ... ...
The castle was a great spot ... the old town ... need better infrastructure ...
Food was merely to meet the hunger ... busses are available ... routes are confusing in such a small place .
One time visit is more than enough.

Dachau is the place where the very first Nazi Concentration Camp has been built. It was an example camp for all other concentration camps within Nazi-Germany. I think every person should once visit Dachau or a different concentration camp city to understand in what luxury we live today and how cruel humans can be during times of war. And of course also to pay respect to all the victims from the Nazi era.
What I also liked was the public transportation within Dachau. It is simple to get around. Especially the proximity to Munich is great.

Dachau is a historical town on the suburbs of Munich and is easily reached by public transport.
Like virtually every German town it is clean and safe.
I would recommend a visit to the Altstadt and the memorial to those who lost their lives in the concentration camp.

Unfortunately the owners of the restaurant in the front of...
Unfortunately the owners of the restaurant in the front of the same building as the pension do not like the owners of the pension. So we got an earful twice by them because we were asking them questions.
Olympia owners were not on site and left no specific guidelines for us/the guests. It was dark when we arrived and there was no sign outside to tell us where the pension was. So we asked the restaurant owners. They are sick of all the questions from people about the pension since they are not the owners of the pension.
We finally saw that there was an 8 x 10 piece of paper on a door at the back of the building identifying it as Olympia.
So we went up the steps and saw that there were numbers on doors and keys hanging in the doors, but we had no clue which one was ours. And, calling out for someone got no response.
So, we started opening doors & found one that fit what we requested, so started to settle in. About 20 to 30 minutes later someone knocked on our door who could barely speak English and had no clue why we were there. She never identified herself but appeared to possibly be a cleaning lady. She got a man to help with English, which was only some better. They placed a phone call to the owners, whom we had tried to call three times - from the number in our confirmation email. We found out that the number was for the restaurant, & they just said “wrong number”.
The phone resulted in us being told we were in the wrong room & they moved us. It was frustrating and unnecessary for two travelers who were already very weary from a long, long trip.
We did get food at the Hot Spot restaurant at the front of the building, and it was very good. The people were kind to us but very vocal and unhappy about the owners of the pension.
The bus line was close and worked for us. We were only in Dachau to spend the night and keep moving.

We stopped in Dachau then on to Austria to meet up with family, but tried to stay longer but they were booked and no wonder, wonderful place to stay - so accomodating - loved the people - so helpful in every way - loved the train but if you never traveled in Germany - people offer their help - you may need it
Really creaky floorboards in the room and very low bed…..as 70 yr olds, difficult to get out. Very helpful staff…… found ordering breakfast the night before a little strange. Meal good, though lucky to chose it as no English translation…….why should there be! We are in Germany! Great spot, lovely town and snow was a bonus to add to atmosphere.
Very easy and helpful check-in process , the reception was very welcoming.
The service and food in the Greek restaurant was fantastic, I will recommend both the hotel and restaurant.
This is the 2nd Abasto Hotel that I have stayed in and it is a hotel chain that I would recommend and also use again myself.
An excellent location, modern amenities and look, excellent staff. I had to check in at 10.30 p.m., whereas, the reception closes at 10.00 p.m. A phone call, and staff was waiting for me. Next day, I asked for a late check out & they happily agreed.
Shall stay in future visits to Munich for sure
This is the second time we visited this hotel by our family and it was still excellent.

Very friendly staff and a good breakfast. The hotel is a short walk to the train station and local shops and restaurants. The room was spacious and clean. A very good location as well for those travelling into Munich, only a few stops. The hotel is located near the old town.
Good location, next to the railway station, Munich can be reached in 20 minutes. Cozy and clean room, wide range of food and beverages at the breakfast and in the restaurant and the food quality was also good. The staff was friendly and helpful.
This hotel is in the perfect location for site seeing and shopping.
The room was clean, modern, bed was comfortable. The outside noise was very low. Breakfast was European with the staff asking if we wanted extra. Would recommend.
Hotel has been refreshed since I last stayed here and is much better for it
Staff were friendly, breakfast was varied and fresh
only hotel in Dachau with a restaurant, not that I used it this trip
The hotel is modern, clean, beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast a bit pricey but really good. Nice pizzas for dinner. Some supermarkets just a walking distance. Bus stop in 2min from hotel.
Set in a very quiet street, close to the pretty centre of Dachau, the hotel is a small family run business with small but adequate rooms, en suite facilities, and reasonable breakfast.
A lovely place. Very comfortable for a family and peaceful, yet close to Munich and other attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Own transport is essential though.
We went during octoberfest.. for that time, a decent price. Good breakfast. More easier with car. Need to take a bus/taxi to Dachau Bahnhof and 25 mins to Munich hb
The location was great as it was very close to a supermarket. It was also a very short drive to Dachau Concentration Camp which was the purpose of our trip there.
Clean, accurate hotel with reception. Access to a room. Good conditioner!
Free parking. Pretty calm place close to Munich.
Nice staff.
Good and comfortable bed.
