Amazing hotel and restaurant!!! Do yourself a favour and stay here. It is typical French but of a high standard. Recent upgrades to the rooms, with new mattress, curtains, paint and fixtures. The owner is so friendly and takes pride in her hotel. The food was Michelin quality! Stay here, we will again.

The place is a great base for hiking. The views from the window were beautiful. The place, room, and breakfast were basic, but good.
It's a castle! As my American wife said over and over!
It's a castle! As my American wife said over and over! It's a stunning location and quite unique. The evening food and service was amazing and the lovely breakfast overlooking the surroundings on the terrace was unforgettable. All the staff were attentive & hospitable and I would definitely come back here.
Only issue was the spotty Wifi but for one night, we took a break and enjoyed this unique place.

This castle hotel is what dreams are made of!
This castle hotel is what dreams are made of! Come here to live like, and be treated like royalty. It is peaceful, elegant, historic... the perfect getaway. We had an indulgently delicious breakfast and complex gourmet dinner each day at the castle, then drove through the countryside, exploring medieval towns and tiny villages. Castellane was our favorite. The drive itself is breathtaking! Europe's only grand canyon, the Gorges du Verdon, is a sight to behold, and you drive right through it!
Staying at the Chateau de Trigance was like living in a fairy tale! We were there for two nights and would have loved to stay longer. Everything was perfect! It was like going back in time, but with all the amenities of modern day. Having drinks on the roof deck with the amazing views of the Verdon area spread before you was wonderful. Our room, the restaurant and the service were amazing and touring all the nooks and crannies of the chateau was an experience in itself. Go there! You won't be disappointed!
Everything about le Priolat des Anges was beautiful, rustic, and charming. Virginie and Yann were wonderful and friendly hosts. One can purchase a carefully selected wine from Yann’s cellar. We were fortunate that there were enough guests that Yann cooked a perfectly aromatic peasant-style braise of chicken, vegetables and potatoes one night. The other night we had pizza, salad, wine and desert at a popular nearby restaurant. The tiny medieval town of Trigance offered a beautiful morning walk.
The location is secluded, about an hr drive from the Gorges du Verdon where we'd visited for the day, and stayed of Trigance enroute back to Nice. I loved the fact that it was a Castle, it was unlike any other accommodation experience we'd had in France, just so majestic. It also felt more like a 4 star and not 3 star as rated because of the great service, cleanliness, room size and comfort, restaurant option, and just general feeling of the place. The rooftop terrace was also just amazing.
The chateau is located in an extraordinary setting, high above the River valley and village below. The views from the upper terrace are unbelievable. I went up in the night, and could see an expanse of stars. Easy to imagine manning the watch tower several hundred years ago.
Room 5 was so cool. With a curved rock wall from the medieval fortress and period-appropriate furnishings, another time-traveling experience. An amazing place.
The hotel is beautiful, with a wonderful swimming pool and terrace. The rooms are clean, comfy and fresh. The breakfast was also delicious. But the highlight of our stay was our host, who was lovely and so helpful. She gave us great advices on what to do in the area, was always available and helped us with all our needs.
We couldn't be happier with our stay.
A medieval castle turned into a nicely decorated and clean hotel which keeps the original atmosphere and takes advantage of the beautiful view over the surroundings. The property is run by a young, competent, helpful, friendly and enthusiastic team. Rich French breakfast and good cuisine for the dinner. Ideal location for visiting the Gorges du Verdon.
The chateau is absolutely beautiful. The location is stunning with outstanding views in all directions. I have seldom encountered such friendly and efficient hotel staff. I enjoyed the decor in my room, which continued the historic theme. The restaurant food was some of the best I've eaten. Thank you all for a fabulous two nights
Cozy hotel with very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff.
Turned out to be a good location for a round trip around Gorges Du Verdon
We had a small room with separate beds but the separated beds were the only downside during the stay.
Breakfast was good with excellent croissants and serval homemade dishes including yoghurt.
Incredible atmosphere, beautiful roof terrace, and a gorgeous little village down below. Amazing experience staying in a castle! The kids loved the room decor and the general castle atmosphere. The staff were very kind and extremely helpful. We had a wonderful stay and only wish it had been longer!
A wonderful experience to stay in the special hotel in the special location. The staff attitude is great. Dinners and breakfasts were excellent. If we are in the area again, there is no hesitation - we will book the place again
Very pleasant, helpful hostess.
An old house with all amenities, a beautiful courtyard.
Quiet and convenient location for those who come to visit the Verdon Gorge.
Nice breakfast.
I recommend this place wholeheartedly.
We stayed two nights in the Verdon region and found this hotel coincidentally. The whole look and feel of the small castle was very nice &special, the service exceptionally friendly and the food just incredible!
Wonderful atmosphere. The owners are doing a great job of adaptive re-use; preserving the style and feeling of being in a medieval castle, while offering comfortable amenities and fine dining.
Service, rooms, views, history of property, the Spritz Trigance cocktails, the INCREDIBLE dinner…. Can’t say enough about this property. Best accommodations, hands down, on our 2 week holiday.
Very authentic and lovely castle.
The food was simply amazing.
Very good service as well with a young and professional staff.
I highly recommend this hotel.
It’s a magical place. Everything was perfect. We had a wonderful dinner made by the chef, the room was very nice, the view from the chateau was stunning
