This is such a quaint little village with unexpected...
This is such a quaint little village with unexpected treasures. The local church is amazing and we could have spent alot more time seeing it. We walked to the old town and loved every minute seeing the old charm. The best part is that this is not a touristy place so we never felt crowded. Wednesdays in April are not good when wanting a decent evening meal, very little choice but Friday night much better as everyone was open. Merizzi by the station on the corner of the main road does fantastic good.

Tirano was a lovely little town.

We enjoyed wandering around the older parts of town.
We enjoyed wandering around the older parts of town. The cathedral was beautiful and open to view inside. The entire town is walkable, no need to hire a car. There was a variety of places to eat and drink. The location of the train station made it easy to come and go.

Tirano is a very nice town.
Tirano is a very nice town. It is very well connected with other parts of Italy by train. Also, the main attraction is the Bernina Express, which departs hourly from the Swiss Train Station, which is opposite the TrenItalia train station. I would recommend a day in Tirano, to get to know the town.HrothgarMexico

Clean, comfortable, spacious, tasty breakfast. Walkable distance from the main train and bus station. The staff is super helpful and nice! Definitely recommend. Both times we stayed in Antica Residenza, we came quite late. And the staff is always very helpful. They either waited for us or left all the necessary details for easy self-check in. We are really very grateful for how they treat their clients.

The property is situated close to the border of italy switzerland and is an ideal spot if you want to take Bernina Express. The breakfast in this hotel was decent (croissants, muffins, boiled eggs, cheese, chicken salami /turkey salami, juices, coffee, tea). The check in time is until 10pm but the hotel staff made an exception for us and let us check in at around 11:40pm. The front office staff were excellent in all aspects. They allowed us to take care of our baggage after the checkout (10am):till the time of Bernina Express (2:20pm). The breakfast were good. You can visit several restaurants in walkable distance from Hotel for dinner.You get a good view of mountains from the window. Overall me and family were very much satisfied with the stay.
