The Hotel is pretty close to the airport so we chosed it. It is a large parking space so no problem to keep our car. It is a big hotel but I felt that it lacks a bit of maintenance. The breakfast was very standard and it is value for money.

The breakfast was good, and the location was convenient, close to everything. The room was very basic, but it was sufficient because, on a holiday, you mainly need the room for a shower and sleep. Additionally, we had a rented car, which made getting around easy."

The Sardinian capital, Cagliari has a historic old town, busy port and one of the island’s best beaches. The sweeping stretch of sand at Poetto offers great summer nightlife, and just inland is Molentargius lagoon, where flamingos nest against the backdrop of the city.
Cagliari is spread over a small hill and the oldest part – Quartiere Castello – lies at the top. There are far-reaching views from Bastion San Remy, its main entrance point. Medieval city walls lead from here to the simple cathedral, and nearby is the 18th-century Palazzo Regio.
By one of the original city gates is the National Archaeological Museum, housing a collection of Phoenician and Roman artefacts from the city’s Tuvixeddu Necropolis. There are also displays of the nuraghic civilisation whose former dwellings pepper Sardinia. The most impressive is Su Nuraxi north of Cagliari.
Just outside the walls are remains of a Roman amphitheatre, next to the university botanical gardens. Orange tree-lined streets descend the hill towards the seafront where restaurants and bars can be found. Cagliari FC play at Sant’Elia Stadium along the coast and opposite is the Sardinia International Fair, an important conference venue.
Booking.com’s Cagliari accommodation includes luxury hotels with pools, B&Bs by the train station and cheap guest houses near Elmas Airport.
I liked the antiquity and history. We also visited the Museum of Archeology, a definite must. The sights in Cagliari, the narrow streets and the little train that one can ride for a minimal fee.
The shop, cafe and restaurant servers were all gracious and nice, very friendly.

Weather was not nice, so we cannot really use the beaches or go the mountain (to much windy), but center and close surroundings of Cagliari are nice, wonderful views, walking in small streets. We recommend to take bus Nr.7, which is circular line. How the driver is driving thru small streets - respect. In any case is better for stay in the city to use buses - it'smore practical and ecological, cheap and good service, parking is anyway difficult.

Excellent small town, which is very pleasant to walk around, enjoy the architecture and food. In general, there is not much to do in it, except to spend time by the sea and on the beaches. 3 days is fully enough to see all parts of the city.

Loads of walking up.and down hills and stairs.
Loads of walking up.and down hills and stairs. Easy to get around and all nearby. Loved the narrow streets and Marina. Great cycling tour of the city to Poetta beach. The Botanical Gardens were fantastic - well worth the visit. The public civic gardens were lovely and so well maintained by the hard working crew. Also the art gallery at the end of it was small but beautiful.

A truly Mediterranean city, warm and full of life and positive vibes. It's history and culture deserve much more respect than it actually receives. Some spots are neglected (particularly Bastione San Remi), the roads are not in the best shape and overall there is a sense of neglect. Luckily the locals with their helpful attitude make up for the minuses which most probably are created by the local authorities.
it was nicely situated and really offered you the chance to taste Sardinia as you walked the streets toward a more touristy area. it was close to stores, which was great. just a half block from a corner mart if you need a snack or a drink. the absolute BEST thing about the stay was the host who was always attentive in communication and, for a small fee, will pick you up from the airport or take you to the airport. he is a lifelong Sardinian who is so well-versed in Sardinia. the room is large and private. Facilities wonderful.
An amazing and wonderful place to enjoy your stay in Cagliari. The hotel was in a very quiet and beautiful area, very close to restaurants or to the old center. The room was very clean and the access it is very easy just using some code provided by the staff. The communication with the reception was top notch even before our arrival at the accommodation. The room was cleaned every day which is a big plus from other hotels.
100% when I come back to Cagliari, we will stay there again.
Grazie
Very nice and cozy place. Andre (the owner) is very helpful and flexible.
The apartment is located in the heart of Cagliari. Restaurants, bars, pubs, everything is within walking distance.
The apartment is big enough for two or even three people. The kitchen is well equipped and also the washing machine was a great help for us after a week of hiking in Sardinia.
Two minutes from the apartment there is a nice cafeteria that is perfect for breakfast and serves delicious coffee.
We stayed 2 nights at Carlo Felice, hotel is located on heart of Cagliari piazza Yenne just a few steps away from historical amenities. Hotel is brand new and host is very polite, room is clean .
We loved everything, plenty of choices for breakfast or aperitivo as there's many coffe shops and bars around hotel open until late , yet there was no noise to disturb us while sleeping.
We will definitely come back !
Highly recommended for couples 😊
First of all the art deco liner look of the hotel is wonderful. Its location is beautiful, a natural paradise. Food, the room upgrade, the wonderful chambermaids and waitresses that work so hard and always engaging. It is near Cagliari, Spiaggia di Poetto is an 8km silver sand beach, raked daily, and delightful beach restaurants. It has an excellent quite beach road promenade that can be used for exercise it is regularly patrolled by police.
I do not eat sweet breakfasts, but the croissants were lovely. You can cook in the kitchen if you get enough of them. The location is perfect; you can buy the bus tickets across the road in the Tabaco shop near the coffee shop where you eat breakfast. The bus takes about 20 minutes to Poetto Beach, which is lovely. You can take the train to Cagliari from the airport and return in 10 minutes. The tickets are not expensive!
Ilm Cagliari is a wonderfully quirky little place ideally located between the old town and the beautiful Monte Urpinu park. And Roberto, the host, was great at giving tips and inspirations to make my trip to Sardinia unforgettable The place is super cosy, decorated with paintings and artwork, has a balcony overlooking the town and it is super clean. Oh, and it has a great coffee maker. So all was perfect.
Mario was such an incredible host. He was so nice and helpful in terms of Food recommendations, helping any needs we had, and even helping massively getting to the airport. The property itself was also perfect for my group. Very spacious very comfortable, great location. Could not recommend this property enough for anyone spending time in Cagliari.
I am used to spending one or two nights in Cagliari every time I visit Sardinia. I always choose to stay at Il Villino because it is very nice. The staff is kind, the location is very comfortable, and one can reach the city center on foot or take a bus at the nearby stop. Bars, supermarkets, and restaurants are very close to the B&B.
Palazzo Tirso exceeded our expectations.
The hotel opened in April, so everything is brand new. The breakfast is outstanding and the staff exceptional, specially Demetri who went above and beyond to ensure that we learned about all the cool spots in Cagliari.
Location is great. Walking distance from all the main points in the city.
Claudia and her husband took especially care for their guests. The rooms are clean and well arranged. All you need you can find in this guest house. The localisation is perfect - Cagliari can be sightsaw by foot (public communication station is also close to the object). We highly recommend this place for spending time in Sardinia!
If you have the Chance to stay at La Peonia you should definitely take it. We had a great time. Antonello and his wife are very lovely people that provided us with Information and everything we needed throughout our stay in Sardinia.
We enjoyed a very nice homemade breakfast and our room was always perfectly clean.
Such a beautiful apartment with perfect little details everywhere. Roberta went above and beyond to make us feel at home and provided very helpful information for our stay. The breakfast was wonderful and it was a perfect welcome to Cagliari and our first time in Sardinia. Couldn't recommend it enough!
The stay at Old Town B&B was more than what we asked for! Stefano always looked after guests needs and provided insider info on what to do in Cagliari and Sardinia. Breakfast is made to your liking, AC and wifi included, and location is perfect for a base to travel around Sardinia!
Very new and clean place with everything you need for a few days in Cagliari. The accommodation is near shops and restaurants and public transport in the area to go to Poetto beach. If you want to see more of Sardinia you need a car. The owners are so nice and helpful
Everything was amazing. From staff to room to breakfast etc. We have stayed in many 4 or 5 star hotels in Sardinia but this hotel deserved the 4 stars and was our best experience. Hotels in sardinia were usually very dissapointing despite the 4 or 5 stars.
Check in was straightforward, the room was gorgeous, the shower perfect, the aircon was welcome. They even offered us a safe place to stow our bags while we explored Cagliari on our last day in Sardinia
