I loved everything about the property and the location. It is well located within 7 minute walk from the rail station and also adjacent to the bus terminus - both of which were invaluable to me. I loved that I could walk down the hill to the very busy town in about 5 minutes to access great restaurants but was so happy to return back to the quietness of my retreat! From my room I looked over the water in two directions from my room - the Harbour and the bay. My room was decorated with a beautiful beach vibe, as shown in the photos. I loved heading down to breakfast each morning and enjoying looking over the Harbour as I worked out which delicious choice to enjoy. My only regret is that I wasn’t staying longer! If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay, with readily accessible access to the great bus routes around Cornwall (I didn’t have a car so that was important) then this is the place to stay!

Buses easy to use especially the coaster bus taking you to many coastal locations. We travelled to Porthcurno for the Minack theatre and the beach below was also stunning.

We had a 'Bay View' room, but the window looking over the Bay was 'sprung', so there was just condensation and we couldn't see anything. Frankly this was very disappointing as we had paid for a Bay View room but didn't get a proper view. I wish I had pointed this out when we checked out as I feel we should have had some money back as a result. Also, there were no proper lights in the room, so we couldn't read in bed. Also, why do English hotels insist on double quilts? These are unheard of on the continent - people have their own quilts - for goodness sake Harbour View catch up with the times!

The property I booked was outside the town of St Ives in a place called Consol. However, was advertised as being in St Ives. There was builders rubble in the parking space. I was told that my 'private entrace' was through the french windows of the property and I would not, as a single traveller, have felt secure in such a situation. I did not stay at this property and would be pleased to receive a refund please.

What a picturesque town with outstanding natural beauty and so much to see in the way of art and ceramics. It does get very crowded during holiday times so I would recommend going out of season. Highlights include the Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Studio, the various galleries and the beaches. The walking could be difficult for anyone with limited mobility but there are ways around that in terms of getting transport. A really stunning spot. Plenty of excellent places to eat from beach cafes to independent bakeries and coffee shops to fish restaurants. It seemed that everywhere was very dog friendly too and many visitors were there with their dogs.

We stayed at the end of the Easter holidays.
We stayed at the end of the Easter holidays. Fabulous town that can get very busy. Everywhere is a short walk and what incredible beaches and sea views.
Would recommend the surf school on Porthmeor beach. Friendly
Bunch.
Excellent location with stunning views of St Ives and the bay.. parking was straightforward either in front of the hotel or the garage out the back, with it being so busy we were grateful for the ease of parking. Old fashioned and very dated hotel but it was priced accordingly. We were there for 2 days and the price and location were excellent. It was clean and the bathroom was fairly modern, the shower did take a very long time to heat up on the 4th floor, but once hot it stayed hot.
Tregenna exceeded our expectations. A very warm welcome from the Receptionist who gave us all the information we needed for our stay. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The hotel is situated in beautiful grounds with stunning views. An excellent breakfast sat at a table overlooking the fantastic beaches across the bay. A lovely warm indoor pool. It was very reasonably priced for what was provided at this beautiful grade II listed hotel.
Highly recommend
Friendly hosts - polite, informative, friendly. Great breakfasts - excellent and top notch breakfast (freshly cooked with a cheeky smoothie shot). Hotel and room very clean. Stunning view. Quiet and calm environment. Safe parking. Free Wi-fi. Excellent facilities in the room. The little things and touches in the B&B such as daily cake left in our room, variety of hot drinks, fresh milk and water in the fridge are appreciated. Classy room.
Sitting on a hill, the Harbour View House had a really great view of the harbor and St. Ives. The room was very comfortable and overlooked the harbor. The breakfast was very good and the bar area also overlooked the harbor and was a very pleasant place to have a drink. The access to the center of St. Ives required only a ten-minute walk so it was a very quiet place to stay. It's also a very short walk to the rail station.
A beautiful studio apartment.
We loved our stay here. We enjoyed the walks down to St Ives.
We found the apartment to be spacious and the beds were comfortable.
The owner has thought of everything. The apartment is well equipped with all we needed for our stay.
The location is quiet.
We loved the extra things such as our welcome basket with scones. Overall a lovely stay in Saint Ives. Thank you. :)
It’s in a stunning location Carbis Bay not far from St Ives, walk to the end of the street & their are buses that take you into St Ives in 5 mins. The room was small but the bed very comfortable & spacious bathroom. The breakfast was delicious & plenty of choice. The host’s are very friendly & suggested lots of attractions to visit in the area. I recommend this B & B when visiting Cornwall.
Great location, easy to walk into St Ives and wonderful house to stay in. Had best nights sleep in the comfy beds. The host was friendly, gave clear directions re house and responded promptly to any queries.
The extra touches eg bathrobes, welcome pack added to our stay in this beautiful house in St Ives, Cornwall. Perfect place to come home to after walking & sightseeing.
We absolutely loved the room, the size, the attention to detail, sense of luxury and style, location in centre of town. We loved the attention to detail, the choice of items in the room often using local artists and suppliers. Our host looked after us with such care and dedication and took care of our dietary needs brilliantly.
I live in St Ives and occasionally need a comfortable and convenient place for family and friends/ or friends to stay. If there is availability at The Western I would always choose this hotel. Comfortable and friendly - and a venue that does a lot for the local community, not just visitors.
The location is fantastic. Can not complain about breakfast or room. Bed very comfortable. Spa facilities clean and well appointed. I have stayed in hotels of similar quality and facilities for less price. I fill I was paying for the location and the fame from hosting the G&.
Lovely castle up on the hill with perfect sea views. The castle is beautiful and well maintained. The beach is just about 15 minutes walk away. All the staffs at the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. Will come back again in the future and recommend to friends.
The hotel is in a great location 10 mins walk into town, and less than 10 mins walk to Porthmeor beach.
The room is spacious and had free parking
There was a communical kitchen and outdoor sitting area which is really nice.
The Gannet Inn scores highly in every way from cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, good parking, good choice for breakfast, high spec. for a standard room. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
Great friendly hotel in a perfect location In St Ives
Our room had a great view across the bay and town
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent
Friendly host, quiet location only a short walk to the town centre, spacious room which was an upgrade. The video with instructions to find the hotel by car was very helpful.
