How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Pool is "temporarily" closed, fitness room is "out of order", not currently offering the free breakfast, free wi fi only worked on the first floor so we had to switch rooms. If we'd been staying more than one night we would have found someplace else to stay.
Had a mini fridge, bed was comfortable enough.

Not really. beed big big money for big system or progra. Not well-organized. some staff seemed confused.(but maybe they are new emp)
Staff was kind, amiable. The big dude on duty that night really helped me park in middle of night. Desk Clerk nice lady from The Islands helped me too, with the confusion about pricing…they arent corporate and polished, but its all good! i enjoyed. Greg Slay Bham, AL Colonade location

The common areas had a weird smell. Some kind of air freshener, I believe. It was not pleasant. The air conditioning unit rattled off and on. Pool was not open during our stay.

Small incident, came back to my room one evening and my door was left unlocked. Although nothing was taken, a cleaning person must have forgotten to take the lock off and left my door open. Management had to come and fix the lock.
Convenient, near my destination and places near by to eat.

Breakfast was not available.
Cleanliness and quietness. Spacious room. Having a refrigerator in the room was a plus. We arrived late at night and the staff was courteous and accommodating.

The cleaners were very hard to communicate with and they came into our room without knocking first. Was very unprofessional and quite upsetting. Need to work on there staff.

The hallways could use new carpet.
Great location. Host was nice. Rooms were super comfy and clean. They are currently beautifying the outside of the hotel.

The breakfast was horrible. The food warmers sit up on a slick counter and almost fell when I pulled it closed(fall hazard). The food was sub-par. Frozen waffles placed in food warmer. Should have batter mix. Cooked food was over cooked/under cooked. The gym was dirty, and equipment broken.
The room was nice and clean. Could use better comforter on bed.

There was a language barrier with housekeeping and although I’d asked for the room to be cleaned (really just needed the trash removed and more clean towels), that didn’t happen. I eventually went to find housekeeping and basically nodded and smiled while retrieving my own towels because I wasn’t understood by anyone in the room.
All of the staff at the front desk was helpful and pleasant.

Honestly, I didn’t have any issues with the property. However, while the hotel was advertised as pet-friendly, the pet fee was much higher than anything I’ve paid elsewhere ($75 vs. $25 or $30). I know these policies exist to protect the hotel, but it makes more sense to charge a deposit or bill for damage after it actually occurs. Our dog has three legs and we keep him confined to a small area to prevent him from additional injuries. Obviously, hotel staff/management can’t know this, but it still feels like we’re being punished for others’ negligence.
Clean, comfortable space. Staff was friendly and helpful.
