Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Clean, spacious, comfortable, pretty. I loved the kitchen, full living room and bathtub. Best place I’ve stayed in downtown LA

AustraliaI can't fault this place. I mean, you're in DLA, so you're going to see a few homeless people around but they were harmless.
Highly recommended this hotel to stay in DLA. The security and staff were so friendly and helpful. It had everything we needed, a self-contained unit. The only thing missing was a microwave, but that wasn't a big deal because we didn't need it. We stayed in a queen suite, where my mum slept in the queen bed, and I turned the folding chair into a bed in a separate area that could be closed off to create a separate room. The suite had 2 bathrooms, which was very convenient as we each had our own. It was an 18-minute walk to Crypto Arena and a short distance to grocery stores. There were many restaurants and food trucks nearby. We parked our car on S Olive Street, just a 3-minute walk away, and the parking attendant was lovely. It cost $30 for overnight parking, but we chose this spot because the exit time the next day was 11 am. Thank you, Sonder, for a wonderful stay. We loved it and would definitely stay again.

TaiwanEverything is PERFECT. It goes way above my expectations. The kitchen is equipped with everything I need, there’s laundry in the room. The room is very spacious, nicely decorated and beautiful. You can hear the sirens quite loudly but that didn’t bother my sleep. The common space for resting is extraordinary.

AustraliaCheck in wasn't until 4pm but they did have a luggage storage to store bags and a lounge area to chill. Didn't feel super safe in the surrounding area.
Room was clean and comfortable, hotel was well equipped and staff were friendly and helpful. Overall loved this hotel!

United StatesA bit noisy during the night because it’s downtown and lots of homeless people are up to something and police sirens don’t stop but that’s why they give you ear plugs haha
Extremely clean, spacious, good security and friendly staff

United KingdomArea is rife with homelessness, obviously beyond the control of Sonder, but worth bearing in mind. The hotel is on a block of West 7th Street currently closed off to traffic and we were not easily able to find it when we arrived at 10 at night. My only criticism is that I would have appreciated a text or email to forewarn me.
Spacious room with separate living/dining/work spaces. Plenty of communal space/lounge/library and an excellent outdoor area. The essentials cupboard is very much appreciated and extremely useful.

CanadaShower wasn't great for someone with thick hair, but oh well. The windows were thin and could hear people outside partying late at night, very clearly.
Bed was super comfy and the room was nice and spacious. Staff was WONDERFUL, had issues with another hotel that messed up my booking so had ot find somewhere new at 11:30pm and Sonder helped me figure out their no contact app right away.

United States- Noise: It is downtown and noise will be an issue. The sound machine and earplugs are very helpful but the Sonder can do a better job such as replacing the old windows with new double pane windows that can block a lot of the street noise. - Light: The blinds are awkward and do not black out light. Better curtains will do. - App: The app and website need work. I was going to book through the Sonder web page because it was $100 cheaper than Booking.com but it would not go through. So I ended up pay more. Also, during the verification process the app was very buggy. - Online customer support: After reaching out to customer support to bring up the web page problems during booking, they essentially told me too bad and they will notify their IT. More specifically, they did not offer to honor the lower price posted on their web page because I booked via Booking.com. I noted that I tried 3 different browsers to book via the Sonder web page but kept getting stuck forcing me to go to a 3rd party page. The response was sorry and will notify IT. - Rules: If you have rules, enforce them. The place says no smoking anywhere even on the outdoor deck yet people were smoking. - AC: I am not sure the AC was working after the first night. Also, it was very loud. Fix it. - Take it easy with the hallway air fresheners because people have allergies and sensitivities to strong smells. - Add on your listing more options for parking since you do not offer onsite parking. I recommend for future visitors Joe's Parking on 812 Grand Ave across from the Whole Foods (over CVS).
- Location: very central in DTLA, close to bars and restaurants, shopping and the Metro - Facilities: the common areas deck, gym, meditation room and lounge were excellent. Very clean and complete. - Rooms: if you are staying for more than a couple of days these units are perfect. They are fully functional studio apartments where you can cook, do your laundry and comfortably stay longer - Value: beats hotel cost if you consider space and amenities - App use for services was good - Front desk staff always pleasant and helpful

United KingdomNothing. It’s gorgeous.
I can’t recommend this property enough. I booked the king suite, but it was such a great price I had it in my head it was a king room. Nope. I was absolutely gobsmacked at the size of what is essentially a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. Immaculately clean, with a gorgeous, enormous open plan studio for the main sleeping area. I swear it was designed just for me in the style I love. A large fridge freezer, full washer and dryer. It could’ve used a microwave, but really there were plenty of options for dining in the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful to everyone who walked through the door. I got there before my suite was ready so I was directed to the lounge area on the fifth floor. A lovely, huge common area with an outside area. Honestly, everything was amazing about my stay. I will definitely book here again for a longer period when I come to LA again.

Booked the 2 bedroom, property was clean. Easy to find. The area was not as bad as I expected. Plenty of food trucks for late night eats. Parked in the lots available near by without any problems. The Hilltop Cafe+Kitchen across the street is a great breakfast spot.

GermanyThe room we've got on the 3rd floor was really noisy, as the windows were thin and now quite tight. So it really takes some getting use to. Ear plugs were the only way to sleep. Not sure about the rooms on the other floors, though.
Building and the room are clean and comfortable with a lot of amenities. Check-in and instructions were simple and useful. Friendly staff as well.
