How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The rooms smell pretty rough. Need carpets cleaned.
Convenient location to SLC airport. Had to change rooms due to a party on our floor. Staff accommodated without issue.

The free breakfast could have been a little more extensive. No yogurt or fresh fruit.
Close to airport with a shuttle that has a shuttle service at 4:00 AM. Room was large with a refrigerator and microwave.

The toilet kept running

More variety and variation at breakfast. Also, the eating area is small and congested.
Breakfast was ok, but there wasn’t any fresh fruit and the same thing both days we were there. Also no eggs and the sausage didn’t look appetizing, pale brown!! I did like the little waffles.

Take your own change (25c coins) as front desk were unable to provide the $2.50 needed per load.
Very close to the airport & coffee facilities available. You can also do laundry. Breakfast included & pretty basic but perfectly adequate. They allowed us to store luggage as we went off on a tour for a few days.

The strong smell that we had to deal with as soon we got to our room floor. Whatever they were using to clean or disinfected, it was extremely unpleasant. It made me dizzy and we had to open the widow of my room to be able to breathe better. We wish they warned us about this before we got to our room. I wish their mattress were less firm, it took me while to go sleep and when we finally did we ended up being awaken at 3:00 am by this strong noise coming from the bathroom above our room. They fixed the problem fast but we rather not deal with something like this in the middle of the night. 🙏🏽😫

The staff were not very friendly. More like doing my job and not taking any time to really address any questions you may have.
The breakfast was decent but, not the best. Had the same thing the two days I was there. The kept it very clean which was pleasing to see.

It being close to the airport means it can be quite noisy, shower pressure was on the low side, shower temp was either really hot or luke warm.
Staff were friendly and helpful, bed was comfortable, close to airport, shuttle to airport was a great value add.

Breakfast and each time we go the rates are different so it is hard to know what we are going to be charged. The desk staff very nice and helpful but bottom rooms allowing dogs can hear the upstairs noise fairly well. And although tehre are doggie bag containers there are never any in them and we have stayed there over a dozen times.
Good place to walk dogs that are allowed so that is nice but we always go to SLC for medical appointment and it is so far from the University Health resources. We feel the breakfast could be much better. No fruit is served and pastries a bit dry. We'd like some granola or scrambled eggs.

The treatment of the employees towards the costumers is very rude, except for the receptionist that night, he was friendly, but the other employees were very bad. The truth is, I would not stay in that hotel again, apart from for a person with asthma, the carpet smells too much of dust.
