The Air conditioning.

The bed was very good. The room's Air conditioning did not work. It is close to the airport. The shuttle runs every half hour. Breakfast is the best. Very reasonably priced.

The bus drivers too and from the airport were obviously bored and not a great intro to the hotel, or goodbye.

Carpets could have used a cleaning and the shower was very hard to figure out! The shower head mechanism should have been explained in a small visual how to located in the bathroom somewhere. We could not shower because if this with the short one night stay! That was a really bad and frustrating thing for. Weary travelers on their way home to USA!

Very nicely appointed with linens towels and paper products. Clean and smelled good.

The luggage rack in the shuttle bus was not enough. The bus was always full as well. It's suggested to have a bigger size of bus for such a large hotel.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices. Free shuttle bus to and from the airport was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel. The room rate was reasonable in comparing those downtown as it was quite expensive in Amsterdam.

Our AC stopped working just before going to sleep. To hot during the night but hotel took care of it next day and it was fixed when I returned to the hotel later that day.

Nice comfy rooms - good view - clean - good to have shuttle bus to and from airport. Bed was nice and comfortable.

Main restaurant was closed, bar restaurant was open. Could not cool the room down even though I had a/c set at 18 Celsius. Breakfast is not available until 0630; with requirement to check in 3 hours before international departure time, that seems late to have breakfast available-- 0600 would be much more in tune international flights.

Nice location, very nice room. Shuttle service timely and great.

The food in the sports bar… not pub food for sure and Thai veggie burger was horrible. Need more casual food in there and leave the fancy stuff for the other restaurant.

The hotel is displaying wear and tear signs and not a lot is being done to address it. So while the Steigenberger was great 4-5 years ago, it’s fine now.

The hotel provided a free shuttle service frequently. The room was good value and clean. The staff provided a good description of how to get to the hotel from the airport

A very minor criticism (which shows how good the hotel is!) - the light switching in the room is a little idiosyncratic. Working out which switch controls which light takes a little more effort than it should, so maybe some labels would help. Other than that, I just wish I had more time in the hotel to experience the full depth of its qualities!

Ideally located for the airport - and Schipol railway station, thanks to the shuttle bus, but also far enough away from the main takeoff and landing paths that there was little noise. Beautifully presented, modern, quiet, clean room and bathroom with very comfortable bed, effective climate control and great shower. Many neat little details. Excellent food and drink in the media bar and unfailingly pleasant, smiling, enthusiastic, staff.

The bed was saggy in the middle, uncomfortable for the rest.

The location is convenient and the best part is prompt hotel shuttle service.

No real issues - the location was a bit far from town, but that was expected. On weekends there are no real options for food nearby - closest proper restaurant or supermarket was 5km away.

Large comfortable rooms, luxurious after a long flight. The staff found adjacent rooms which made the stay very easy. Staff were helpful and efficient. Quiet considering how close it is to the airport. There is a very large forest park just over the motorway for anyone wanting a run/cycle.

The restaurant prices and the fact the hotel is not close to other restaurants. Breakfast should be included in the price of the hotel.

Asked and the reception agreed to deliver tissue box as it ran out. but didn't happen. Too soft pillow as in most German hotels.
