We stayed over the weekend & it was a truly magical experience. Carel & Thea were so kind and friendly, always there to help if needed. The place itself was immaculate & so cozy. It’s in a quiet area which felt really safe. It was a wonderful place to celebrate my partner’s 30th birthday. Thea and Carel were incredibly thoughtful and left us a surprise bottle of wine & snacks which was really lovely. They even supplied some breakfast and gave us coffee beans for the coffee machine! The walk to and from the tram stop is beautiful, you walk along the River Rotte!

The location is superb. The apartment is in a lovely neighbourhood surrounded by nature with all the commodities for a pleasant stay. The check-in process is very smooth and the way the hosts have set up the guest apartment is very smart and functional. They had a great guide to get around and lots of nice touches to make us feel extra welcome. I especially enjoyed the garden and the fact I could use the jetty to jump into the river. This accommodation really sets the bar very high :) I can't recommend it enough for a visit to Rotterdam.

If you are very tall the lower-than-usual ceilings may not work well for you.

Incredible location on a quiet street along a river. Great privacy with access to a patio. We rented bikes from the owner for 5 days and got around the city that way (20 mins to city center, 15 mins to Erasmus University campus). Took daily walks in the neighborhood and saw a lot of people biking, rowing and running.

The connection to the public transport required a little bit of walking, which is really my own fault for not checking that head of time. That said, the walk was nice as you are probably as much in nature as you can be in a city. The host also has bikes for rent.

Rustic location, clean place, good internet. Pretty garden and river with wildlife right outside and in view. Very friendly host.

I would recommend renting a bike with bags and/or a basket, or a car, to go for groceries. However, there is a bus stop nearby (900 m) that takes you right in front of several grocery stores. If you plan a long stay, consider where you will wash your clothes (laundromats, etc.).

I can't say enough good things about the "Hidden Pearl from the Rotte". The room furnishings are cozy and welcoming, and the place is beautiful. It's definitely a great place to wind down and contemplate the visiting waterfowl in the canal, or enjoy the view at the lake. I'm really grateful for all the attentions by the kind and accommodating hosts, Thea and Carel. It definitely shows that this jewel is a labor of love.

Beautiful location - along the river Rotte and 15 minutes away from the center of Rotterdam by bike... great beds and amenities, many locations around the house where you can chill in the garden and along the river... very friendly owners - a beautiful bottle of wine awaited us as well as breakfast for the first morning... we can really recommend this place to everyone who wants to be really close to Rotterdam, but still enjoy nature...

Unfortunately the access to the water was overgrown, so that we couldn't enjoy an evening at the fireplace

Nice Location and very near to the city Center. By Bike you'll easily get everywhere. Thea and Carel are very nice People and try to make your stay comfortable.

i expected more privacy for this amount of money - the direct terrace is not private where people can look directly into the property - 3 times a day someone was coming down there to feed the cat. Apparently the private terrace is in a next garden. cleanliness; the couch and chair were dirty and there was a dirty plate was in the oven. You can only cook a pizza in the oven, there is no oven dish. in total slightly disappointed.

Nice space, great location, good bed, comfortable coach.
