Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe room at night got very hot and it was not possible to control the temperature in the room. In addition, the breakfast was quite expensive and did not have a lot of Western options.
I loved the size of my room and it was very comfortable. I thought it was clean and had good amenities.

SingaporeSauna was closed for renovations, so disappointing.
We stayed here for 2N on 12-14 Mar. This property is on top of a hill and has a nice look out. We drove, so the property is a great base to get to YongPyong ski field & easy access to town with very nice food options and supermarkets. It was off season so the property is quiet and surrounding is so surreal. Wifi is without issue and parking is free at the basement.

South KoreaCarpet was visibly dirty and stained. Carpet should have been replaced long time ago. Kitchen layout is terrible, uncomfortable and unsafe. Very disappointing that such a nice location and villa has been ruined by designing/building a terrible kitchen.
Location and very spacious. Both rooms were very specious and comfortable. Great view.

AustraliaThe room was very small and the upstairs area is not useful as it doesn’t even have cushions to sit in, it’s a wasted area. Spa and sauna were not included in the price of the room. Restaurants and food options were very limited during February, low season, so be mindful that it’s a 1.4 km walk to get to downtown and it’s quite an extreme cold weather conditions during February. Staff were not very informative, there was a coffee place up the road that we only discovered on our last day when we were leaving to the train station. Considering the limited breakfast and donning options, staff should make guest aware of other nearby dinning options.
The shuttle bus to/from airport and to/from sky Centers were really useful. Beds were comfortable and toilet and showers were really good!

TurkeyThis was my 2nd stay in the hotel and observed the two issues below: - The rooms are extremely hot and room temperature can not be adjusted. You can turn off the AC but there is still the floor heating you can not control and room temperature never goes below 26C which is too high for winter. I understand some guests prefer wearing shorts and tshirts in their rooms but there should also be an option for guests who do not want the room so hot. We should not have to leave the balcony door open and sleep when it is -13C outside. - Breakfast is Asian style and the selection is really good. You are going to love it if you can have stir fried meat, stews, grilled fish, multiple types of soup, kimchis etc for breakfast. Or else you will pay 35K for a croissant, bacon, scrambled eggs, yoghurt and cereals. As you would expect, most of us did not eat in the restaurant after 1-2 days and the only other option is CU. Thus, it would be good to have a bigger selection for Westerner guests
- Rooms are really clean. - Most of the staff at reception can communicate in English. - Jjimjilbang is clean and nice. You might also want to consider having a body scrub while you are there. You will not regret it!

United KingdomThe breakfast was expensive compared to other food options so we didn’t eat it.
The room was big and comfortable, lovely hot showers for after skiing. The hotel also has a range of Asian restaurants downstairs (including Korean bbq, Japanese, fried chicken etc) as well as a CU convenience store and coffee shop. The staff on reception were so helpful to sort booking our ski passes and we hired ski clothes & equipment from the rental shop in the hotel lobby. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus from the train station and to the slopes - only 10 mins on the bus to the ski resort. Everything was really well organised, efficient and great. We would definitely stay again.

Hong KongThe room was stifling hot. The housekeeping team left notes about the environment but we had no control over the temperature so had to sleep with the door balcony door open. The breakfast was expensive and there were only paper cups for drinks including coffee/tea. There is a charge to use the sauna, fitness centre and the swimming pool is closed in the winter.
The hotel room was comfortable and the shuttle bus to the ski area and Jinbu station was good, though it would be better if it ran more frequently. The staff were friendly and helped us book taxis. Because the hotel is quite remote, it is helpful that there are restaurant and a convenience store in the basement. Fresh, unprocessed food is hard to come by. If you’ve skied in Europe, the hotel feel and ski trip atmosphere is quite different but interesting and enjoyable nonetheless.

CanadaThe staff really went out of their way to help us. We had tried to book bus tickets online and couldn’t since we didn’t have a Korean bank card. One staff member ended up booking the tickets for us which was so so kind! The gym was quite nice for a hotel gym and the shuttle services were very handy!

SingaporeShuttle service is hit or miss. Sometimes they arrive early and it’s gone. It’s situated on the top of a hill which means you need to walk to city centre. But the building itself has a big Korean convenience store which means you can get fresh food there.

South KoreaEverything was fine, except for the kindness of the front staff & the view of the room. We made our reservation a couple of months early (probably 2~3 months before) and requested a room with a good view since it was said that every room had a mountainous view. Somehow, the room we got didn't have a mountainous view! If they had told us to bring a pair of binoculars, we would have brought one to enjoy this so-called mountainous view! LoL! The front desk staff was not friendly! Most offensive were the staff that worked at the CU in the basement! Both the lady and the gentleman who worked there were very rude.
The room was spacious and clean! The beds were super comfy! The bathroom was clean and came with a tub (though we had not used it). There are some nice restaurants in the basement along with a kids' zone and a gaming center.

New ZealandWe didn't try the hotel breakfast due to the cost. The choice of food in the restaurants in the hotel basement was poor. The room had a hotplate and microwave but no crockery, cutlery or cooking pans.
The hotel is a little isolated - a 30min walk to the nearest town, but there is a small convenience store and some small restaurants in the hotel complex. The free shuttle bus from the railway station ( 30 min drive) and to and from the ski slopes (15 min drive) was great. The staff in the hotel ski gear rental shop were very helpful and the rates definitely cheaper than at the slopes for gear and lift tickets.

ThailandThe biggest downside of this hotel (and why we would not choose it in case we go again in winter) is the air-conditioning system. It has a good Aircon system but in winter it keeps the air in the room at 26 C. It can't be turned off. If it's too hot for you to sleep you have only one option - open the window. Then the temperature in the night can become too cold (we had to close it) after that we woke all wet because too hot in the room - open again and so on. Aircon is also trying to make it 26 all the time - when the window is open a bit, it workes with more power to warm up the room up to 26 again. Very very uncomfortable Aircon system and thus the worst stay during our South Korea trip. Despite all the advantages of this hotel. Besides, fat man seller in the CU mart tried to cheats us by adding the number of few products more than we actually bought (you'd better check you sales receipts carefully counting how many of each product you bough and how many are in the receipt).
It's a good 4* hotel and in the summer season it deserves maximum rating. We travelled by car and there was always a parking place available inside of the building. Hotel has self service laundry and dryers (which can be useful for wet clothes after snowboarding), it has ski rental shop on site with a variety of ski but very few options for snowboard riders and quite decent quality clothes. Though the prices are approx 10% higher than in the similar shops outside. Hotel has convenient shop (CU mart) on B1 level which is very useful. Beds were very comfy, are WiFi was fast, bathroom was clean and modern.
