Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaAt night the area is a little seedy with people sleeping at the entrance to the metro. During the day it is fine
Rooms were roomy, furnished nicely and clean. Breakfast had a nice collection of savory and sweet breakfast foods. Located right next to metro so getting around town was easy. Short walk to shore.

AustriaRoom had a blocked window, there was no natural light. We had a pick-up scheduled at 7:00AM, we had no person at reception to check out at 6:50AM though normally check-out is supposed to be done between 6:30 and 11:00. Also would have appreciated more flexibility for an early check-in on arrival, our request was denied though it did not look the hotel was full.
Very well located in Mergellina metro station, with quick access to the city center, the metro trains and to the marina and or ferry lines.

PolandThe breakfast was a mixed bag.
Nice location at the back of Mergellina station. The building is quite charming, actually. Contrary to some other reviews, our room wasn't noisy at all, despite overlooking the street. Everything else OK.

SwitzerlandIt can be very noisy: you can hear all that is happening in the hall/corridor.
Very clean, good service. However misses a bit of sophistication and charm expected from a boutique hotel. Staff was super nice and helpful!

United States of AmericaThe breakfast is beautifully laid out. These is a lot of staff on hand to keep everything freshened. The coffee is served to your requirements and not only Italian style. There are some boiled eggs and scrambled eggs, that is nearest to anything resembling ‘cooked breakfast’, but these not hot. The fruit juice is watered down so much that it possible correct to describe it as ‘favoured water’. Overall the breakfast is very ‘continental’ as you would expect in Italy.
The room I was allocated was neat and tidy, cleaned nicely everyday. However, these is some noise every time a train stops at the station as the hotel shares the Metro Station building. The location is therefore good but there are quite a few rough sleepers around the station at night, they don’t bother you but you can certainly smell the urine. Possibly not a suitable location for a single female guest. Also entrance to the hotel, at all times is via a door bell because the lobby is one floor up.

United KingdomThe batteries need checking periodically. The safe battery kept failing and had to be replaced. The TV remote control had a dead battery! A coffee machine would be good in the rooms. The aircon was a mystery. In early December, it was 22C outside and 28C in the room, but even staff couldn't fathom it out! I pushed open the shutters and enjoyed the cooler air instead. Our room overlook the hotel's interior roof. It wasn't nice. I didn't complain though, after all, it was a "free upgrade".
The location was excellent, next door to Mergellina train/metro station, yet zero noise! It was only a gentle 20 minute stroll along the gorgeous seafront into the centre of Naples. Set in the Chiaia district, it was a good place to be. I stayed here on the recommendation of my son, who had stayed previously. We were upgraded for free, but I'm not convinced it was an upgrade really. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. They lent me a phone adaptor, as I'd forgotten mine. It was great to have access to a large range of Sky channels, but the TV was so quiet, we couldn't hear it. After the 3rd night, I mentioned it to reception who swiftly resolved it with new remote control batteries. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Everything is sparkling clean! Beautiful care of hygiene. Luggage was stored for us after a late check out. I'd advise booking a taxi to/from the airport via booking.com as it was safer and cheaper than local taxi firms. We didn't have breakfast which seemed steep at €15 each. Directly across the road is a highly skilled fornaio, selling inexpensive, freshly baked goods every day (except Sunday). The man in the metro station shop (left hand side as you go in) is very helpful for rail/metro tickets). Only a 5 minute walk away is the incredible 50 Kalo pizzeria, open until very late. Yes, better to book, but not essential. After Napoli football games, they serve well into the early hours, as does the local pasticceria. I'd go to this hotel again. The shutters keep it beautiful and dark, conducive to sleep.

SingaporePerhaps better communication on the location of our rooms. We were assigned 2nd floor rooms but had to go to level 3, walk the long corridor and finally had to go down 2 flights of steps to level 2 where our rooms were. A slight inconvenience for us

United KingdomFacilities were basic as was the decoration, I'm not sure where the boutique part of the name comes from. The paperwork in the room showed that there were a number of English language news channels on the TV but this was not the case.
Breakfast was good with a selection of food. The room on this visit was better, it had a wardrobe. The rooms were very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located and is part of the rail/metro station, there was no problem with noise from this though.

United KingdomThe room was disappointing, no wardrobe just a hanging rail which may be ok for a one night stay, no coffee/tea facilities in the room and very basic decoration. Finding the entrance could have been easier with a reasonable sized sign not just a bell on the door. The elevator was broken and the stairs were the only way to get up to reception, after a couple of days working they managed to get this working.
Breakfast was good, a good assortment of foods. The hotel is very well located as it is part of the rail/metro station although noise was not a problem. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
