Communication with the hotel was a desaster because they thought we had booked another apartment at a different location. WIFI did not work. Water was cold until we turned on the boiler without instructions. Very thin walls and windows, really noisy the whole night.

Main issue was that the bathroom door did not fully close off the bathroom, it was a saloon style door with large gaps at top and bottom. This meant that in room shared by 5, every time someone used the bathroom the whole room shared the sounds and smell. Check in was also not ready at 3pm.

It was already frustrating that the property didn't offer luggage storage since early check in was not available. However, they failed to provide instructions on how to check in - they claimed an email was sent when we booked, it was not, we checked. In fact, they sent their automated email only after we reached out and asked how we could check in. After receiving instructions, when we arrived at the location, the key was not in the lock box. We had to end up going to a nearby cafe with all of our luggage that could not be stored, ordering a drink and wait for someone to come and drop off the keys in they keybox. They didn't even bother to ask us which cafe we were at so they could drop off the keys personally.

The process to get keys was difficult, as it required calling only shortly before arriving, and a complicated means to enter an address that was not well marked. The area seemed unsafe, although honestly it probably wasn't. The room is very small and very hot during days, and the kitchen was very small.

With properties, and travel, location is important, and this is the best location you can think of in Athens. Between Syntagma Square and Monastiraki Square, next door to the Ermou Pedestrian Shopping way, from here you can walk almost the entire city. The apartment is small, but very very clean. It gets hot in the room, so there is air conditioning, as well as a very small kitchen.

Outside windows so dirty from pigeons excrements that couldnt be opened; noise from pigeons continuously walking outside the windows all night long; no wifi available (already mentioned in a review from 1 week before).

It is really really dirty, we found dirt and hair in the toilet, it was smelling bad from mold, in the main area it was everywhere dusty, under the beds you could find stuff from previous people and it was actually like it has never been cleaned

I couldn’t find the locker and I called , both the guy on the phone and the guy that came very helpful and polite and helped check in. It has two big beds and a couch and there are no neighbours so you can be as loud as you want. Ideal to go with friends. Great location.

We did not appreciate the rats scurrying and squealing over the ceiling all night, or the strong smell of rats and cigarette smoke. The extremely ineffective air-conditioning was also not to our liking. Being ignored by the host when writing to them was also unpleasant. First whad to call to get the code for the lockbox with the keys at check-in time and again to get the wifi code. After unpacking and showering we were told to move apartments because the host made a mistake. We asked for compensation for the change, the poor aircon, the smell and the rats and requested to cancel the remaining two or three nights out of four. Everything was ignored in writing and rejected on the phone with endless promises that we would receive a response soon. We ended up leaving anyway and found a clean functional place with really good aircon at the same price. But that means we ended up paying almost double for accommodation.

The location is great and the general layout of the flat is as depicted - if you get flat 2. Flat 1 has one bed less than showed in the picture. So it is sort of a lottery.

The communication with the property was very difficult. They do not answer messages. The room was only available later than the check in hour. We had to wait outside. The place is old and a bit destroyed. There is a very noisy nest of pigeons right in the roof.

Despite the previous info, there is not WIFI in the room. This makes the stay very uncomfortable. The location is excellent. The room is old, but big.

Bathroom door didn’t fully seal the entrance, had gap at the bottom and it smelt a little in there but it didn’t stink out rest of apartment so no biggie. Also kitchen needs kitchen towel or a drying rack because there isn’t a way to dry off dishes after washing them.

I would recommend this apartment to those who match the following criteria combined: - people who don’t mind uncertainty (no detail given in advance on how to get the key, e-mail not answered, no indications in which of the seven key boxes the key might be, three calls needed to fix the problem) - people who like the life on water (floor is seriously damaged due to being soaked with water pouring out constantly at numerous spots) - people who lost their sense of smelling (persistent bad smell due to the water damaged floor) - people who don’t like to cook by themselves (kitchen heavily underequipped) - people who like live music (street musicians who still play ‚Blowin‘ in the wind’) - people who look for a place in the vibrant heart of downtown (but nothing else) Fun fact: the lousy reception was brought up in several feedbacks but there seems to be no ambition to improve that. Others complained about no indications given regarding the WIFI which is true. Pro hint: check at the bottom of the router. Still others talked about the tiny bathroom, but so far nobody mentioned the really dirty elevator (here you go). On arrival one of two elevators was already out of order. On the day of deparure, the second one. So we had to carry our luggage down from third floor. Only highlight: we didn't get stuck. Being frequent travelers we were rarely (or should I say ‚never’?) ever so happy to move on…

We had to relax here from 9 to 16 April 2022, but unfortunately, so it happened that we have a war in the country, since we are from Ukraine. The room we booked long before the war, and when they tried to cancel the reservation, we were told that we could not return the money, since there were such conditions for booking, to transfer the reservation also refused. Yes, I understand everything, but we could not influence these events. We were very requested that we make an exception and returned money, as we really need them. It's a shame to tear. Everyone is now saying how to support our country in Europe. But alas ... not here. Let this money be our biggest loss in this war.

There was no wifi connection even though it is stated that wifi is available. I had to work during this trip and this caused me a big problem. The communication with staff was limited to via WhatsApp and very impersonal. I was only informed that they will get back to me if they receive an update from a service provider. I asked for alternative room and/or compensation and received no response whatsoever.

The room was not very clean.. There was no WiFi for 4 days.. there was no light at the corridor and we had to use our phone in order to unlock the door during the night. Too noisy room.. It didn’t worth any euro. We didn’t enjoy at all our stay there.
