Well... it's a noisy hotel. They play live music at night, and I didn't know this before booking (though they did send a pre-arrival email warning me of the fact, so I immediately ran out and bought earplugs!)

The place is old and quirky, which I found charming but might be annoying for someone who's more used to a modern look. Staff were delightful and the breakfast was actually really good. Love how close it is to the beach too.

We still had a good nights sleep however the live music seemed to have gone on for a long time into the night, luckily our room wasnt right above it so we just heard it in the distance, I would say not for light sleepers at all. The hotel seems a bit aged and in need of refreshing however that gives it a little bit of character.

The staff were very nice and welcoming. The location is perfect being so close to the beach and pier, the rooms were clean, beds very comfy. I found it quite good value for the money we paid, not much for a family of 4 staying on a friday night during half term.

Our room was right above the main bar, so it was noisy, but to be fair they did warn us when we arrived. However the two night clubs were not in the description of the hotel when we booked and we were only advised of this after booking, and the booking was nonrefundable.

We did not eat at the hotel. The hotel is in a great central position, easy to get to the front one way and similar the other way to town. The staff were excellent and the room was clean but needed updating. The shower is just a shower head sticking out of the wall and the curtain was too close. So little people like me get drowned. 😆

Rooms could do with an upgrade, but overall not bad for the price

Nice place, the staff were lovely, close to town and the beach all within walking distance. Plenty of options for drink and food. Bar downstairs gets a bit lively, could hear from the room (1st floor) but didn't affect sleep. Was warned about it by the staff at check in but already knew about it from previous reviews.

There was nothing we didn't LIKE. The bedrooms were a little basic & needed some tlc, but they were clean & comfortable & we were only there for one night. A bit of quite late noise from an event taking place downstairs but that stopped at a reasonable time - & we were warned about it.

The staff were so lovely: friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very good too. Location perfect as we were going to the BIC

The location. On site parking. We didn't eat or use the bar here.

This hotel is in an ideal location for the town. It's in need of a bit of TLC. Yes the floor boards do creek. We were booked in for 5 nights. But because I had a 180 mile drive on the Saturday morning we decided to leave on Friday. The reason being. Our room was directly next to the disco which I believe was on until 4 am. So we cut and run. We would definitely stay here again. Next time I will take the Friday night and Saturday night entertainment into account. For what we paid we are happy with our choice. You are not going to get savilrow quality for Primark money. No offence to Primark

I wanted a glass of white wine in the bar so and they had ran out!!!!! Very strange for a bar in the middle of Bournemouth. This was a Thursday night and quite quiet. The bedrooms are adequate but could be updated.

There was a couple of things I didn't want on the full english breakfast, so when it came it was a bit sparse, 1 sausage, 1 slice of bacon, mushroom and egg. I did think that for the price of it, they would at least put 2 sausages and 2 bacon. The staff were very good. Location excellent. Loved the secure gated parking.

TBH we were informed in advance that there was a busy nightclub in the basement and too expect noise. However being an old building the noise came from the guests in the neighbouring room. The hotel did offer to move us to another room but we decided to cut our stay short as we had already seen the act we had come for over at the BIC which is literally over the Road. Please note that the hotel staff were excellent and really did try to help.

Fantastic location, room was a really good size. Historic building and the cocktail bar 1812 was a great place to have a drink and enjoy live music at the weekend. The staff were all really friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was good as well plus secure parking on site.
