Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomUnfortunately matress very soft with a 'hollow' in the middle- seen much better days. Pillows not much better, soft & shapeless - not good for back/neck comfort overnight. Only other issue was 'tepid' water in shower in the morning.
Great cleanliness and lovely decor throughout. Very decent breakfast, garden looked nice also. Staff seemed lovely. Good teamaking facilities in room.

United KingdomBreakfast was overpriced and was not the best quality, there is a Olive Cafe that was better for value for money and the food quality was nicer. There were hairs in the bath left from previous guests which wasn't great. The shower hose was too short and the water that came out was like a jet wash. There was a pull up button from bath to shower which was extremely stiff so had to had a bath at times, that needs looking at. The TV in the room was of poor quality and didn't have basic channels such as bbc 1 which was weird, not that we were there to watch tv but it does need an upgrade. Would have been nice to have an iron and ironing table. The silicon around the bath tub was of poor quality and neat. Great to have parking though the bays are extremely tight especially for SUVs which is what most family's do drive these days.
The location of the hotel was great and the staff overall were very friendly. The rooms were spacious and the decor within the hotel was generally clean and presentable. Nice to have somewhere to park your car.

United KingdomA shame the hotel bar closes around 9pm. It would have been nice to have a drink after the concert. The hotel is missing an opportunity here!
An extremely warm welcome from Jenna on reception. We stayed in Superior Double which had a lovely garden view and huge bed which was super comfy. Excellent walking distance location for both BIC and the town centre. Parking plentiful. Gorgeous decor throughout. We bought the full English breakfast, really well cooked and plentiful.

JerseyTook a few trips to the bathroom to feel comfortable crossing the hallway to use the toilet and shower. Shower drainage was slow which meant the shower tray filled up really quickly. Blind in the bedroom was away from the window which meant it leaked a lot of light in the room and I was awake just after 5 thinking it was a lot later. Only a fee small things but generally a really good stay.
Hotel was very clean. Staff member on arrival was very polite. Room was small and clean but suitable for just getting my head down for the night. Bed was comfortable and pillows were decent too. Close to the beach but also restaurants, bars and shops. Good CCTV coverage and felt like a safe area. Parking right outside too. Bathroom was sepeeate to the bedroom but it was key entry for my room only which was good. I didn't use the kettle but it was good to have the ability to have a hot drink should I have wanted one.

As soon as I arrived at the reception, was greeted by a lovely receptionist who was very helpful and friendly and offered a free upgrade which I was delighted about. Thank you very much. The room was very comfortable with lots of room and spotless. Lovely garden outside the bar area, beautiful on a sunny day. Would definitely stay there again and only a 10 minute walk to the town centre

Czech RepublicWe got a dark room with a small window leading to a parking lot (despite the advertised room with large windows leading to the garden). We asked for a change, but apparently the hotel was fully booked (although a large party just left and they were cleaning the rooms). The sheets seemed clean and washed, but with a few old stains. I found the mattress uncomfortable.
The staff was nice and friendly, the breakfast was tasty. The hotel is tastefully decorated and has a garden for kids to run outside. The location is great, near the beach.

FranceWe only slept there as we were catching the early Poole ferry to France. Extremely comfortable beds - joined into a 6 foot superking. The room was very warm and comfortable, as was the shower room. Carpets were new, but some of the furniture was very tired and needs replacing. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. Plenty of toilet rolls in the shower room and good water pressure with plentiful hot water. We parked on site right next to the entrance (lucky) and had a ground floor room which was easily accessible.
