The room faced bare walls and some windows. This narrow court must have been a service well as the ventilators were working under our window - very loud.

The place is very well situated, near the train station and close to the city center. Nice area The room was pleasant. WiFi worked well.

My room was spacious and light with windows in both bedroom and bathroom. The location is excellent opposite historic City Square. The older style character of the hotel is wonderful.

The carpets makes the room feel old and 'not so clean' - even if it is. If you only replace the carpets with laminated floors for example of it would make a Big difference!! I don't like shower curtains... It always feels gross to me.

The shower, the small tv (could only get a good signal on the kids channels), you could hear noise outside the room (Saturday night was worse) To get to our room it was like a maze!

- I had a really difficult time turning on the shower because, as it turns out, the shower pull was stuck. (The staff advised me to try grabbing it with a towel to pull it up, and that eventually worked.) - The water temperature shifts constantly, which was a little unsettling! - For me, not the comfiest pillows, but otherwise the bed was really nice.

Hands-down, one of the nicest hotels I've stayed on this trip. + Though it's not as close to Leeds train station as it appears on the map — at least, until construction is finished next year on what looks to be a more direct route — it's only a 5-minute walk down the ramp and around the block to get there. (I should add that I didn't notice any bothersome noise from either construction or the train station; for me, on the 5th floor, it was perfectly tranquil.) + Very conveniently, the bus stop for the airport flyer is just around the corner. + Both the bedroom and bathroom are extremely spacious. + Great wifi signal. + Lots of counter/shelf space in the bathroom. + Power outlets conveniently located by the desk and bed. + As a plus, my room had a really cool round bathroom window, which I loved. + Kettle and tea service with biscuits in the room, which I really appreciated after staying in 2 hotels without.

Breakfast was an extra £7.95 per head, and was a self-service, buffet style, light breakfast, with breads, ham, and cheese, and a variety of breakfast cereals & toast to choose from. But, the toasters took forever and the coffee making machine had run out of most options apart from instant coffee when I stayed. But, although it could've been better, it was fine and this wouldn't put me off staying again.

The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and very helpful. The location is fantastic, under 5 minutes walk from Leeds station and the City Centre, with a wide-variety of pubs, bars, shops and restaurants nearby, including a fabulous real ale pub, the Scarborough Hotel, almost next door, and a great Indian Street Food restaurant immediately opposite. All-in-all, a fabulous place to stay and great value for money, would certainly stay again.

The price was very steep, especially for a single room - but then again, it was booked the night before my stay in the busiest week of the year in Leeds so I was grateful to get a room, any room, that was not £600+!

The noise from guests at 3 o’clock in the morning that went on for over an hour.

The corridors & rooms badly need all refresh - despite being kept very clean the carpets and decor were worn and dated.

My room & bathroom were spotlessly clean. The reception staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. Although there was a little evening noise because it’s right in the city centre, my room was quiet overnight and I slept well.
