How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Lighting and some power points not working. Cupboard door about to become unhinged. The lounge too big and cumbersome for room size , and baby chairs and table too small . No breakfast.
The staff were extremely attentive.

The only thing that I can think of - Refrigerator did not have a freezer compartment
Perfect location - in a wonderful little neighborhood with cafes and restaurants, grocery, wine shop, and the best boulangerie right around the corner! Felt very safe, even late at night, and a great array of restaurants within walking distance in the 10th and 2nd arrondissments. Located near Metro stations - very easy to take the RER from CDG to Gare Nord, then Metro and a short walk. Apartment is just as pictured, very clean, accessed via door security codes so come and go as you please. Bonus: washer/dryer, while not in the apartment, was available in the building for our use, which allowed us to live comfortably out of our carry-ons.

There is not much we don’t like- this was a great apartment. The only thing we missed was having a lounge/ sofa area to relax in with friends to talk, but there is a good sized dinning table instead.
Great communication and staff, very new, clean and well presented accommodation. Great location for restaurants, bars and sightseeing- plus the street is quiet at night. Beds are very comfortable with new clean linen.

Nothing really… the toilet roll holder wasn’t entirely straight. That’s the only ridiculous remark I can find ;)

sometimes it took them a while to respond to my messages, and they didn’t send me the check in info so I had to ask for that, so maybe communication could be a bit better, but it wasn’t dealbreaker, we had a great stay!
Great design and vibe, spacious bathroom, great kitchenette - the room had everything that we needed. awesome bakery is right next to the building, there are also many great cafes and restaurants nearby.

A couple of coat hooks in the hall for damp coats wound have been useful.
Great location, lots of good bars, restaurants and a supermarket close by. Accomodation was spotless and both the bed and shower were great. It was good to have a separate sitting area. We had breakfast in and the kitchenette and coffee maker were put to good use.

Everything was perfect
We really enjoyed our stay. The design and the location are amazing. The room was very spacious, quiet and felt more like an apartment, a true home away from home. The bed is very comfortable, the small kitchenette perfect for a coffee in the morning and the lovely living corner offers a space to work or eat something. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all our questions and requests. The location is just perfect, walking distance from Gare du Nord or Place de la Republique / Marais but also offers several metro and bus stations nearby. We will definitely come back and can’t recommend staying here enough!

There were a couple sockets for charging our phones and other electronic devices that were not functional. This was upsetting given the price point of the accomodation.
I liked the design personally. I liked the warm floors in the bathroom. I liked the tiny kitchen and also the windows that can open during night time for fresh air. I also liked the layout.

There wasn’t any reception. We had some trouble contacting a staff after 6 pm.

Nothing I enjoyed all of it!
I loved everything about this apartment. The shower was amazing, the coffee machine was a lovely bonus. The bed was super comfy. The size was perfect for 2 people and plenty of wardrobe space. Communication with staff was super easy and friendly- thank you Cheryl!! Location is ideal, close to plenty of bars and restaurants and 5 min walk to the metro.

Perfect location and an amazing place!! Here it definitely feels a bit like home :) Rooms are very well decorated, there is everything you need in the small kitchenette and bathroom is spacious. Very clean. Location is also great as walking distance to le Marais.

We had a wonderful time in the apartment and can totally recommend it. It was very new, clean, cozy, spacious and incredibly well equipped. Everything in the apartment was of high quality. For instance the bed felt very comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The decor and interior design of the apartment is very pretty and calming so that we felt very much at home. The location is great with a lot of nice bars, restaurants, bakeries, cafes and supermarkets around as well as super close to the metro station. Lastly the Edgar team staff was always available, very friendly, welcoming and supportive. We loved our stay and will definitely come back. Thank you Edgar team!
