Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomPaloma the host was the most lovely person ever! She couldn’t have done more for me. The rooms were comfortable and clean, as were the bathrooms. Paloma washed my clothes and made the most wonderful 3-course dinner and always had a smile! Thank you Paloma!

Juan was a shining light and beautiful sole. He went above and beyond to help me fix a mistake on the next booking and will be graciously remembered as a highlight of Spanish hospitality.

United States of AmericaThis was one of the best alburgues I’ve stayed in. Absolutely the tastiest dinner with a huge salad (which I have been craving since there aren’t many veggies on the peregrino menus). There is a bar in the alburgue as well, and you can enjoy a cold drink on the terrace overlooking a picturesque church while your laundry dries in the breeze. Plenty of hot water for showers. Clean with a great atmosphere. Also, the owner speaks perfect English which was very helpful. Two thumbs up!

United KingdomEverything was a high standard
We booked the double room at this exceptional accommodation on the comino. The facilities' in the room were very good and we were pleased to see a lack of plastic used in the room for soap and shampoo. There was a kettle with cups and bottles of water for our use. A view over the square from our large window. We signed up for the evening pilgrims meal and enjoyed the evening with our host as chef and server. A great evening shared with people from all over the world walking the Comino Frances. Would highly recommend, facilities on the balcony room are fabulous for washing clothes and enjoying a coffee with other travellers.

United States of AmericaLeaving poles and shoes at the door always makes me nervous, but I do understand it is a good way to prevent tracking mud through the facility.
It had all we needed. The second story lanai pictured is a lovely shaded place to enjoy an afternoon beverage with fellow pilgrims. There were clothes washing facilities available and lots of lines out front to hang. Beds were comfy. Towels and shampoo were provided.

United States of AmericaBeautiful little albergue with a wonderful host. The village is quiet and the terrace is a perfect place to relax and rest after a long day of walking. The coffee/espresso machine was such a delight. I sat on the terrace in the sun and enjoyed a hot chocolate. The beds were comfortable with good sheets. I loved that every bed had its own little shelf, reading light and USB plug. And the DINNER! Gosh- so delicious and nourishing and plentiful. 10/10 would stay here again and again!

CanadaThe time of year suggested that the outdoor common space was not the best (cold).
It was a very small village so the location was perfect. Comfy beds. Great people to chat with at dinner all doing the Camino.
