I don't understand how they do things there. The room was so bare Bones. Not a single chair to sit on. Not a single hook to hang my clothes and No place to hang clothes.. The pillows are cheap and terribly uncomfortable. If you put on the air conditioner to keep cool, you freeze because they do not give you a single blanket. An animal pulled leftover food out of a garbage can by my room. I tried to help and cleaned it up. I could not believe it was on the floor again the second day because the staff never cleaned the garbage. I refused to clean it up the second time! They ask you to throw your dirty toilet paper in a plastic bag in the bathroom because of plumbing challenges but they never come to your room to take away the dirty toilet paper.Get the picture? It's a shame because the place could be really lovely and charming with just a few simple thoughts like a place to sit and take away my dirty toilet paper!

Location by the water. Friendliness of the staff. I liked the the feel of the town. Quiet and safe and friendly and cute.

The shower was small and water would end up all over the bathroom, the ned was not very comfortable, the bar is not open every day during low season.

Convenient walking distance without being right in the village. The breakfast was excellent each morning. The air conditioning in the room was very appreciated after being outside in the heat every day. The staff are vey accommodating and always met us with a smile.

Took me ages to work out how the lock on the door worked. Got there in the end, with help from staff!

Overall friendliness of staff. Relaxed feel. Flexibility in the catering, with variable menus The friendly and efficient way the hotel rep met me at the ferry boat pick-up point and again on my arrival in Tortuguero - nice touch.

It is not due to the hotel, but at night you walk 200 metres in the dark to reach the hotel from the main road. The dinner's choices are limited to three options. There is no hot water.

It is in front of the sea and next to the park entrance. I thought I wouldn't use the pool but it worked out to be mandatory to swim! Humidity is high in Tortuguero. Good patio for each room. The room has the essentials, like beds and a shelf however, being on the Tortuguero you would realize that they live with the minimum things. I thought it was a plus. The kitchen is clean and the food was tasty. The gallo pinto is delicious and the chef is very good at her job. They do laundry if you need.

Tortuguero was very humid but the AC in the room helped.

It was right on the beach, it was clean and the breakfast was good with fresh juice. It was just a short walk to the Main Street and the streets to the hotel were paved so it was easy to walk with suitcases.

The room was pretty basic and felt like it was missing some standard things, like a lamp, a chair, a desk. There were only thin sheets available, not blankets. The bed frame was rusty.

The staff and excursions were nice. The pool was refreshing and it was close to the beach (where you can't swim)

It can be noisy at night, our room was on the ground floor, facing the internal garden. People were talking at night just outside our door and we could hear everything.

The staff is very fliendly, they allowed us to check in earlier in the morning. The budget room is very simple but has everything needed and it is comfortable. Very good breakfast. The position is perfect, the hotel is just by the sea and 5 min from all the restaurants. The swimming pool is a plus! I would come back to this hotel!

Colourful, cosy place right at the Beach,. Lovely staff! Room quite simple but basics covered and clean and tidy. They now have their own pool - great!
