Amazing location on the sunset side of the island with a private beach. Great value for money. Very friendly owners with great communication. They make lovely meals. Room was basic but everything was clean and neat and there is a fan for the warm weather. Would definitely return.

Danilo was the perfect host. The property was very clean and new, with a nice garden area. Danilo was helpful in every aspect. Whether it was getting a great deal for a scooter, or recommendations on where to eat or what activities were available, he was on top of it all. You get a great place to stay and a wealth of information. You will not do better at this price point. Thank you Danilo

Helpful & welcoming staff. We had the option to upgrade to air conditioning for an extra $10/night. It was hot, so we took it. The staff connected us to reasonably-priced & trustworthy scooter rentals, so that was a real bonus. They also prepared a breakfast for us at short-notice when we realized we wanted to catch a ferry at a certain time, so that was appreciated. Other reviews mention "sketchy characters" around, but nobody bothered us out on the streets at all. Definitely recommended!

Great place with beautiful garden. Kind and helpful staff. Room with desk and very stable wifi great for working. Roomy and good shower pressure.

The location is great, less than 100 meters from the port. The room is clean and comfortable, shared kitchen and bathroom. The family is very nice and friendly, always ready to help. The wifi is good too. Definitely recommend Casa Esmeralda if you’re staying on this side of the island.
